The Preserve at Cedarwood

Nurses are amazing,very short staffed,smells bad and out of date decor,left me hanging on home health aide,pt,and everything else when discarded.

I am P0A for a relative who has resided at the assisted care unit for 11yrs, who has declared this unit as his home and family.Assisted living is at the Preserve facility under Cedarwood ownership at this point.And also had a relative in memory care for a yr, prior to her passing . We have been thru several owners and administrators during these yrs. I am a Registered Nurse , with Certifications in Nursing Administration , Emergency Medicine , and Critical Care . I have always had praise for all the staff, during all these yrs. They are kind , compassionate , and open to suggestions to assure proper care to our relative. But there is one person who has always gone above and beyond and that is Mrs. Shawnee Miller. She has always been there for my relative , and he respects her so much , as I do. She always helps me with anything I need relevant to my realative’s care. She cares so much about every resident under her supervision at that facility. She reacts quickly to any change in my relative’s condition, and communicates any problems to me immediately and physician. And I know she does that with all residents under her supervision. She worries 24 hrs a day about the residents , and has come in to assist staff many times in their time of need. I have spent many yrs observing her as a Supervisor. I trust her decision making , and know she only has the best interests of her residents in mind. I know the Dept of Health inspectors also respect Shawnee, and her knowledge of all specs related to her units . So I want to honor her for all her yrs of service, as all who has worked with her should also. So along with my relative who resides there, and my family , thank you Shawnee for everything. Everything you have done for us has not been unnoticed. You are considered part of our family. I hope the owners can honor you also, and recognize all your years of dedicated service. Thank you!

My dad lived briefly at this facility and was receiving hospice services. He received excellent care. The staff at The Preserve are committed to providing the best care, and the facility itself is beautiful, comfortable and clean.

Wonderful staff!

We set up our petting zoo here for the residents to enjoy and boy did they enjoy. Every employee was so helpful and caring. They way they interacted with every single resident they brought out was so heartwarming. They all truly care for their residents and it is very evident! They talked with each and every resident about the animals and what animals they liked best. Id want to go here when my kids can no longer take care of me. What a great staff here!! In reg to the next question as to price we paid, they paid us to bring our mobile zoo. Fyi.
