The worst place! The nurse told a patient she does not care cause they have a DNR. They do not respond to call lights I repeatedly asked for water after the roommate of my loved one asked for an hour and they never got it. They are ion thick it and after 55 minutes brought him regular water They refused to check sugar levels knowing they are a diabetic. Then refused to do anything in regards to it. Meals are awful. Full of things they can’t eat. The nurse stated well they are in their right state of mind they can refuse it. Then they have nothing to eat. They do not let anyone shower I had to call and report several things Now the fire alarm went off and no one moved I was told by several people that it’s probably just a drill. It was not a drill! Something was on fire. Stay away! If you love them. Do NOT bring them here! This place has no morals ethics human decency or care !!!
Response from the owner
We are saddened to read your review considering our commitment to resident care, safety and satisfaction and your loved one’s voiced contentment. QLS – Grove City is a 5-star rated home and we take your concerns very seriously. In response, several of the situations that you have described are inaccurate. We care for residents with varied healthcare needs, code statuses and goals of care. The wishes of every resident and family are respected and honored. We are also committed to timely response to residents’ needs, including requests for drinks or snacks. It would be unacceptable for a resident to wait for a drink of water. The checking of your loved one’s blood sugars during the night is not indicated nor the preference of the attending physician or your loved one. Related to food selections, we pride ourselves on liberalized, dietitian-approved meals and the daily options available to residents, including your loved one. We are mindful of diabetic-friendly meal needs. In closing, related to the fire alarm, an overheated dryer caused the fire alarm to sound. While our Maintenance and Administrative teams investigated, the staff followed protocol by closing all doors and staying with the residents while others proceeded to the alarming area. The situation was cleared and all residents and staff were safe. We value your feedback and would like the opportunity to speak to you to resolve your concerns constructively. Please feel free to see any of the leadership team or call us at (724) 458 – 9501.
