Colonial Courtyard at Bedford

I feel comfortable knowing that if I ever had any concerns, I could address them with the administration. My mother has had a wonderful experience at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford. I truly appreciate how small, comfortable, and welcoming the community feels.

When my step grandfathers battle with cancer came to a close and he chose to be comfortable, he said I know where I want to go! take me to colonial courtyard! His case worker contacted them and within an hour, Heidi and Tonya were in his room, asking him what he needed and what they could do for him. They were so pleasant and willing to make accommodations even though we knew he was going to be on hospice and likely not stay there very long. They did not look at him as a terminal resident though, they were excited to have him become a member of the family there. They worked on getting everything ready and stayed in contact with the family. About two hours later, his health declined rapidly and we thought was not going to make it through the night. Heidi reached out and asked if there was anything we needed her to do for us at the hospital! She went above and beyond! She didn’t have to offer that, we didn’t think he would even leave the hospital, but she did, because she cared! And that generosity and compassion is rare, and we will forever be grateful for that! Thank you Heidi! In true fashion though, he pulled through and said I’m going to colonial! And he did that day! They had his room ready, hospice came in, and his stay there met every expectation and beyond. The staff was so amazing and caring! They worked hard to accommodate his every need and the needs of the family. I apologize that I can not call out everyone by name as I don’t want to leave anyone out that cared for him. But the care he received was top notch! I was there when he passed and the staff could not have been more caring and treated him with such great dignity. Thank you everyone at colonial courtyard. Even the residents are amazing! I had my daughter in there one afternoon and she is a little social butterfly! We visited everyone! She loved it so much and so did the residents, we even went back to the dementia ward and she put smiles on their faces! If you ever find yourself looking for placement for a loved one, look no further! This place is amazing and you will have peace of mind with no doubt they are cared for and loved to the fullest. I would give the establishment, the staff, and even the residents 20 stars if I could! Even the pet dog is the sweetest! Thank you all so much! We will never forget what you did for him and us! You’re truly the best!!

Always a very calming, caring and relaxed atmosphere where I see staff being very attentive and meeting the needs of those who live at Bedford Colonial. Thank you for all that you do.

What a wonderful caring staff. We could not have asked for better care for our parents. The compassion and friendship they showed them was beyond what we expected. Always cheerful and upbeat. They all made us feel right at home. We highly recommend colonial courtyard!!!
