DO NOT send your loved one here. I am sharing this review to inform families considering this as a personal care facility for their loved one. There were significant concerns related to lack of meaningful activities, inconsistent communication, inadequate staffing, and poor coordination of care. Requests for engagement and basic support were frequently unmet, and responsiveness during medical situations were unreliable. The environment lacked accountability and oversight which appeared to negatively affect resident well-being. Families are encouraged to ask detailed questions, observe closely, make surprise visits, confirm their ctivities chart, and meals listed. Also, advocate persistently when evaluating care options at this facility.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your concerns and understand how upsetting it is when expectations for a loved one’s care are not met. We take comments like yours very seriously. Our community is a secured memory care setting, and each resident has an individualized care plan designed to meet their specific needs. Our team is trained to support residents with compassion, patience, and respect, and we staff above state requirements to ensure safety and appropriate supervision. We also strive to provide meaningful activities, consistent communication with families, and timely responses during medical situations. Open communication and family partnership are extremely important to us, and we encourage families to remain involved, ask questions, and share concerns so they can be addressed promptly. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to better understand your experience and review the specific issues you encountered. This allows our leadership team to follow up appropriately and continue improving the care and support we provide to our residents and their families. Thank you again for bringing your concerns to our attention. Our goal remains to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every resident entrusted to our care.

This place has a very nice staff. They are polite, pleasant and hard working. Even when they are short staffed, they keep a smile on their face. This combination makes for a winning team. They are often short staffed resulting in a greater workload which can be overwhelming to the staff. The communication between staff is poor. They don't seem to have change of shift report. Additionally, they often say yes to family requests, but rarely follow through often forgetting. Perhaps because they are often short staffed. The residents do not have a call button or means for reaching staff should an emergency occur, like a fall. To address this, the staff are suppose to frequently check in on the residents. These rounds are are inconsistent, and do not occur on a regular basis. Making a phone call from the outside, and having someone pick up is nearly impossible. Voice messages are rarely returned. Regarding the building? It is sad and decrepit. The lights are low giving it a dull gloomy environment. The floors are dark, worn, and outdated adding to making the environment somber. The walls are stale and old looking. The bedroom are the same. Recently the walls were painted. What a difference paint makes! However, only the entrance was done, the hallways remained the same. This gives the impression that "it was all done for show." The food? Simple, bland, and average: hot dogs, burgers, sloppy joe's, Mac & Cheese. The outside entrance and back are nice. To the owner of Bethlehem Manor. Please update the building. ,paint ALL walls with bright colors and updated wall pictures.
