Everyone at Southwick Village has been exceptional in their care, concern and willingness to go over and above for my mom. This was a very hard decision on my part and after ONE hour at SV I knew I had made the right one. The facility is immaculate, the food is amazing (my mom does not eat meat on Friday...NO PROBLEM! the chef made her baked cod, mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, I was blown away)served in a dining room. Everyone from the receptionist to caregivers truly care about their residents. I have witnessed first hand the positive energy, compassion & RESPECT they have on a daily basis. They also have a full schedule filled with activities that everyone is brought to...It truly is like a family!

This is a lovely place to live if you want to live in an independent cottage, with really nice people--everyone is friendly and the employees are very helpful. As a rental community, of which there aren't any others that I've found in Massachusetts, it's the perfect solution for those who don't want to pay into a senior community and be forced to pay monthly for a food plan you don't want. Maintenance is responsive for the most part, although some things take forever, so make sure to remind them. However, if you do move into a cottage, make sure it's thoroughly cleaned and don't be afraid to make them do repairs before moving in. Inspect things like the window sills, windows, and kitchen cabinets and make sure they do a thorough cleaning.

We moved here 3 years ago after my husband was diagnosed with dementia. I feel very confident in letting my husband walk around the area and go up to the Dublin House because I know that residents and staff all know him and help him out if needed. We live in a wonderful cottage that gets rave reviews by friends and family that have visited. The resident community helps to keep us socially active and we truly enjoy being here.

I visited the community with a friend who is considering moving in the near future. The grounds are beautiful with several cottage types available. The main building has independent and assisted living, as well as, many activity spaces to participate in. I will consider this option for myself in the future.

We have found not only a home, but a community of wonderful staff and residents. We hadn’t realized how isolated we had become in our home. The move to Southwick Village has been the best thing we could have done. It is the perfect blend of support and independence.
