Westover Retirement Community

Mom has been here in rehab for over 2 weeks. She has been very content and has expressed if she ever needs rehab again this is where she'd like to come. I completely agree with this we have found that Westover has worked out very well for her. Everyone here has been very good to Mom and it's a clean facility. No complaints at all with staff at all the only complaint that we have is they are extremely short staffed. To get anyone to respond to any need that Mom has it takes a extremely long time for anyone to respond. It's no fault of staff bc they are constantly busy but to get anything from milk or go to the bathroom has been difficult to say the least. I believe the fault lies with Westover and not having enough employees to take care of the elderly like they should be taken care of. These are our parents, Grandparents our loved ones that deserve better and I'd love to see this happen. To be honest I've been told it's not just Westover but other facilities as well. So shame on you for taking advantage of our elderly instead of putting them first.

My mom loved Westover. While there was an adjustment period, she told me that she liked it there, she had friends there, and she loved her nurses and the staff. She loved getting her hair done at the salon and playing Bingo. The best day was when she called it " home".

As a retired firefighter I had been to the Westover Retirement Community many times always feeling it was a premiere center for senior care. Due to unfortunate and sudden life changes I found myself in need of an assisted liv ing facility for my father. The location places him close to my family, and that seemed like a good start. Once I contacted the facility my expectations for both customer service and level of care for my dad were exceeded. The management and staff have been nothing short of amazing. We were made to feel welcomed and have found a new sense of Community for my dad. We are 4 weeks into his living there, and we are both more than satisfied with every aspect of his experience. This entire operation has been top notch. A special shout out to Susan for making the process so easy to understand and welcoming. All of the staff at Westover are consistently impressive with their care, professional ism, and willingness to help. Thank you all.

My mom was in here it was really bad. They did not care about her. They let her arm get infected in black. Did not try to get a hold of the doctors or send me any kind of report. I told them her arm was smelling and it was infected and it was always covered up, so I could never see it after a week and they didn’t do nothing. I ended up calling the ambulance, and when the ambulance driver come into the nursing home. He said I can smell the infection walking in the door. I just cried. It was the saddest thing I have ever had happened to me in my life, and then after having four other surgeries to get the infection to go away, it would not, and she ended up passing away. Please be careful putting your family members or friends, in this nursing home The lady Jennifer always had an excuse and never got a hold of the Dr. Every time. I told her something needs to be done about it. So sad that they don’t care about the Elderly people that are in there.

People at Westover truly care. Family oriented. The on site administration has really shown leadership in the community!
