The Cottages at Dartmouth Village

Just not very good at what they are supposed to do.

As we look for the right assisted living community for my parents, The Cottages in Dartmouth has stood out in every way. The staff has been welcoming, compassionate, and truly invested in making my parents feel comfortable. They’ve already begun to feel connected and at home. A heartfelt thank you to Christine, Robert, and Charlene for making this journey feel hopeful and stress‑free.

My uncle recently became a resident at The Cottages, and he has been very happy there. After visiting, I can understand why. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel welcome. Robert, the Senior Sales and Marketing Director, was outstanding. He was upbeat, patient, hospitable, and accommodating. He never made me feel pressured, took the time to answer every question thoroughly, and clearly has a genuine passion for the residents and their families. I was equally impressed with Raquel, the Health and Wellness Director. As a nurse, she is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. It was obvious that she knows the residents well and is committed to providing individualized, high-quality care. Seeing that level of nursing leadership gave me a great deal of confidence in the community. I also want to recognize Angie, the Lead Resident Assistant, who has gone out of her way to make sure my uncle’s needs are met. She has treated him with genuine kindness, respect, and compassion, and the difference she has made in his experience has been remarkable. Our family is truly grateful for her dedication. The Cottages are beautifully maintained, and the layout is outstanding. My uncle’s room is exceptionally spacious and comfortable, making it feel like a place he can truly call home. The home-like cottage design creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere where residents receive individualized care and enjoy meals together within their own cottage. Their unique care model fosters meaningful relationships between the staff and residents. We also appreciate how easy it is for residents to get outside and enjoy the attractive, peaceful grounds. My uncle has very much enjoyed the meals, and it’s nice to see that there are plenty of activities available for residents who choose to participate. Overall, The Cottages has a safe, peaceful, and serene atmosphere. My uncle is happy there, and our family has been very pleased with the care and kindness he has received. I would highly recommend The Cottages to anyone looking for a community where residents are treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine personal attention.

Robert was wonderful to work with in helping to move my parents from Fl to MA so they could be closer to family. He was helped me throughout the whole process and helped put my family at ease about the transition. My parents are very happy there and receive wonderful care from the aids there.

The Cottages of Dartmouth Village are located conveniently close to Route 6, Route 140 and Route 195. My mother just turned 95 and moved in about a month ago, already she feels right at home and has made friends with several of the other residents. Her studio apartment is really cute and spacious enough for her bed, small sofa, a few chairs, large dresser, end table, tv & bookshelf. Within steps of her apartment there is a comfortable seating area with a large fireplace and big screen TV. This area is perfect for her to meet with her neighbors each day. Just down the hall is a large dining area that serves great meals (better meals than when my mother was living by herself). She is in the memory care building and has received such great support from the staff, it puts are minds at ease. Speaking for my family we are thrilled that she is living there and under such great care.
