In august of 2024 I moved my mother into saint Clare's assisted living. I was her P.O.A. and all correspondence went through me at my home in Perrysburg. From August 2024 to her passing on November 7th of 2025 the monthly bills were sent to me and were always paid on time. After her passing I expected the final bill. When it did not arrive I attributed it to the holidays. Consequently it had slipped my mind. On June 26 this year on a Friday night my brother, who was not involved in my mother's care or finances, received in the mail a letter from a collections lawyer stating the final bill was not paid. The lawyer and St Clare Commons were able to locate my brother who lives in Graytown Ohio but were not able to locate me even though they had my phone number, email, and address the whole time. The following Monday June 29 I visited the Facility and asked to speak to the financial manager, only to discover that she had been off work for a month. I then spoke to the resident advocate whom I had dealt with several times and had a good working relationship with. She contacted the administrator and told me they would be in touch. On July 8 I called the advocate and left a message stating I had not heard anything. When I visited on 6/29 I asked for the payment history also. Finally on July 9th I received an email stating that corporate would not talk with me and I had to deal with the collections lawyer. I am planning to purchase a new vehicle soon and now have a mark on my credit score due to St Clare Commons incompetence. Now i am left to clean up the mess. thank you for that

This has been a good option for my Dad. He raves about the food. The staff is compassionate and very nice. Colleen Fisher is very helpful and smart about everything. I'm glad my Dad lives there.

My mom recently moved into the assisted living facility at St Clare Commons. My family and I weren’t sure how she would do since this wasn’t her home. But my mom has just settled right in and she loves it there. She helps other residents whenever she can and she is involved in all the activities. This facility has been a godsend to my family and my mom. It’s very nice inside. The food is delicious. And all of the activities are thought out and well organized. The nursing staff is great! My one and only complaint is that I wish the communication between the staff and family was better. I think some kind of platform where you could reach out to them would be very helpful. My experience with Melissa in billing has been very positive. I especially appreciate Colleen Fisher who has been absolutely amazing. She has been there for me and my family through the entire process. She is a wonderful person.

Short staffed, and took forever to get any help. Seemed like the nurses I had didn't know what they were doing.
