A great place to rehab, or live. Staff is so friendly and very attentive. The home is extremely clean, beautiful and well managed. Lots of activities, and a great salon for residents to enjoy!

Beautiful place! They have very helpful staff. The residents are are well taken care of and all seem happy. They have amazing meals and entertainment every Friday during happy hour! They go above and beyond on special events and honor special trips and outings for their residents. Smith's Mill has made a tremendous difference in my life.

My parents have been here for 7 months and I have learned a lot. Initially I thought, WOW what a big beautiful place. Impressive!! Well, it is, but it lacks a Unit/Supervisor for each hallway/area, very little supervision over-seeing things are done and/or followed up on. When you call the nurses' station, you can be on hold forever - an no answering system to leave a message for a call back. It's all up to lady luck. The CNA's and Nurses are GREAT people: hard working and they do the best they can. Very friendly and helpful (if your there visiting). I think they all have too much on their plate and they are short staffed. I'm not sure if clothes changes, bedding changes and showers, or hav the time to just go in to a room to check on residents and visit them. I think all this falls on the administration, not the employee's. Again, no one to supervise if something got done or not. Call lights can stay on for long periods of time. I have wrote emails and literally get ignored. It took months to get my mom's pace maker 'working'. and From the time it was dropped off, lost, plugged in and running. I have walked in the facility many many times without anyone saying 'hello', 'can I help you?' I do get excuses, reasons and explanations, talked over and down to when addressing any concerns instead of sincere response, and acknowledging they understand the problem and offer a solution. May parents pay A LOT of money $$$$$ to be taken care of, and it's not all bad. The food is pretty good, the rooms are sufficient - fairly clean, there are plenty of activities, the grounds around the building are kept up very nicely (no garbage, mowed).

Smith Mill Health campus turned out to be exactly the right place for us. Everyone was great. They were very attentive to Cheryl’s needs in every way and Cheryl enjoyed it there. The room she was in was the perfect room for her because there were White Hydrangea bushes outside Cheryl’s window and she Loved those. They reminded her of home. I am very pleased with our experience here.

No help. Call lights unanswered for hours. No answers to screaming patients
