My dad chose to live at Royalton Place when he needed to move to assisted living, after having visited his mother-in-law there many times in the past. The facility is clean, modern, and has a friendly non-institutional appearance. Though I never ate there, I do recall some mouth-watering smells coming from the dining room. The staff are very friendly and helpful, from the receptionists to the nurse to the assistants. They went the extra mile to help out during all aspects of my father's stay there. When he went to the hospital for long-term health issues, he couldn't wait to get back to his apartment at Royalton Place. I have to say that now that dad has passed on, I will miss the staff there. Our experience with Royalton Place was very positive.

Thank you for your review, Alan. We're happy to hear that when your dad was with us that he enjoyed calling our community home.

On Thursday, 8/19/2021, between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30 am, I had a tour of Royalton Place. I'm looking for a facility where my Dad (who has Dementia) could live. I met with "Skip" Hanen (Sales Rep. with an impressive "Director" title on his business cards and a total of THREE months experience). I explained that I was looking for a facility where SERVICE (DIRECT patient care) was the priority. Aesthetics being a distant second. Skip "seemed" attentive and even took notes. We then went on our tour. Skip showed me the "Memory Care" wing which was secured via locked (key-pad) doors. In addition, the patio area for the residents is behind a 10 to 12 foot iron fence. These features aren't designed to protect the residents from the outside world....it's designed to prevent the residents from walking away. SO...Skip showed me several small, single resident rooms. They were clean, freshly painted and start at 6,000 per month. Additional "Staff" services cost upwards of 3,000 per month. While on the "Memory Care" wing I asked about "staffing" and if an ON-SITE RN were on duty and if I could meet with them. The Nursing Station was locked, NO RN, and NOBODY could find the key to show me the nursing station (nobody could get in). Further, there were NO "Techs" or "Aids" present (anywhere). Finally I was told that their facility RN was away at "class" but on-call (same word-for-word excuse I've read about elsewhere). Skip told me that the residents were provided numerous activities throughout the day. I saw NO-such "activities" while there. All I saw was ONE kitchen aid and TWO janitors during my entire visit. This wasn't some-sort of unusual circumstance or off-day. This was a normal Thursday morning. For between 9 and 10 thousand a month I would put my Father in a "polished" pig with NO on-site medical staff ? I've heard this before, especially when it comes to the Royalton Place. Considering my Grand Father once resided there (under a previous owner) I would give them the benefit of the doubt. What an eye-opening experience.

We had a terrible experience at the Royalton. Although many good people work there the new Cooperation that owns it is basically heartless. Don’t move your loved one in here.

We checked out this care facility for our mother Annie on line and in person. At every step we were impressed with the quality of the people working there and the soft gentle care that they gave each resident. We would hear the girls say "I love you" often to all the people there in the memory care wing and by the time mom passed from her dementia, we felt that she had the whole staff family around her and us supporting us to the end. We cannot thank them enough for their wonderful work caring for mom and making us feel welcome in our many visits this past year. We will recommend them to everyone that wants to hear of a good place where you don't have to worry about your loved one being ignored. Special thanks to Christy, Samona, Alexy, Karen and Naomi for their loving care.
