We’ve rented this space for years. This time we rented it out and asked for the bathroom rentals as well. They told us the bathrooms were up on a hill with flat tire so we couldn’t use them which was fine but then we get to the venue to set up and the bathroom trailer is in the middle of the venue blocking a ton of space and they said the maintenance guy didn’t want to clean it or move it. They didn’t want to upset the maintenance guy so they didn’t want to have him move it. Extremely unprofessional and dirty.

Rock of Ages provide quality care for loved ones. They do this through compassionate and understanding staff who support their residents and their families. The facilities are always well-kept. Residents are treated as family and are well-loved.

My husband and I moved to our Valley View retirement home in December 2019. We often say to each other "it's like living in a resort, but better". The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Many individual yards are show-stoppers. We are able to continue life-long hobbies such as work working, growing one's vegetables in a community garden, exercise walking around a scenic walking path, landscape gardening, and participating in planned community events. Multiple community buildings are available for shared activities or to reserve for a special personal event. A well equipped fitness space is available that provides both cardiovascular and strength building equipment. Personal services such as toenail care, massage, and beauty/barber visits are easy to schedule. When one needs assistance, be it a medical visit to the nurse practionener, help with moving furniture, meals delivered, or personal living assistance, it is only a phone call away. We find the Staff here are exceptional, whether it's a caregiver, a kitchen helper, or a maintenance expert. We are well pleased with our choice to spend our elder years here in this caring community and environment.

Two and one-half years ago, my husband fell ill and required hospitalization. When he was to be released, we were allowed to bring him to stay at the Transitional Care unit rather than a large commercial nursing home because of the reputation for quality of care provided by Rock of Ages. Everything he needed or required in personal and/or hospice care was provided. His room was a large roomy suite with a valley view and included an attached room for family. The caring staff also provided the support I needed. I am ever grateful. I have my own home here at Valley View in the quiet, peaceful and safe village neighborhood. I am surrounded by nice neighbors and nature. It's a lovely place to live.

I can't speak for the staff, but there happens to be a beautiful walking track around the front of the main building to the road. Its paved, borders a small creek and has some wonderful views of Mt Hood. The path has many small, well landscaped areas to sit and enjoy. Easy walking, no big hills or rough areas so its good for all walking levels.
