The RTM care team is exceptional in every way. My family is onsite several times each week and what we witness is kindness and devotion to every resident. It’s always a pleasure to visit and observe a well-coordinated staff taking outstanding care of our wife and mother.

I interviewed and visited numerous memory care homes in the area before choosing River Terrace. I am 100% convinced that we made the right decision for my dad in law. The care staff are kind, patient, compassionate, attentive and safety conscious. The medication techs are always on top of health concerns and are easy to work with, as is the in house RN. The life enrichment team provides fun and positive interaction and activities, and there is always something great going on. Kitchen staff is phenomenal, and it's a treat when I get to enjoy a meal there. The management team is experienced, caring, well organized and truly dedicated to creating a wonderful environment and excellent care for their residents. They have created a welcoming culture to encourage family members to visit and participate in their loved ones life, as well as the community. I only have positive things to say about River Terrace and I am grateful that my father in law has been so well cared for the past 2 years.

This facility is exceptional in my experience over the last 10 days with my Grandmother on hospice. I am a Home Health Social Worker so I've seen a lot of facilities and rarely have I experienced such caring staff and community and such an involved owner. What makes them exceptional is: 1. Level of care - my grandmother is bed bound and her skin still looks good which is no small feat. They clearly love their residents and my Grandma loves them so much I have seen her hug and kiss different caregivers in my time here. It has made my heart so happy to know even when family hasn't been here she's felt safe and loved. From the administrative staff to the caregivers everyone has stories to tell about her - she's called the flamingo because she has fallen asleep while standing up and she was famous for stealing the pudding from the med cart. Every time I use the call light they are here in a matter of minutes, I've always been able to find a med tech or caregiver to answer my questions. Jeffrey the owner is here on a daily basis and he is constantly working on keeping this place staffed, which means every day I have been here he has been interviewing people. I have been to other facilities who are struggling with staffing and aren't nearly as proactive. 2. Enrichment- the level of activities and engagement this facility has is awesome! I've seen a guitar player/singer, Halloween decorating party, Bingo, and an awesome game with pool noodles and balloons that I could call "keep it up. My Grandmother's roommate gets invited to come join by a staff member consistently and the activities folks even bring in scent stuff for my Grandma to enjoy because she isn't able to participate anymore. From what I have seen the meals look appetizing and you can recognize the food for what it is (taco salad, baked potato, etc.) and they've been gracious enough while I've been here to offer 3. Payor Sources- often when I find places like this they are private pay, this place does accept those on Medicaid spend down depending on availability. Shoutout to Autumn of Life Placement Agency for locating this wonderful place for my grandmother's last few years. I can't thank everyone enough! Is everything perfect here? No. Items have been lost (same rules as daycare don't leave anything here you want back in my opinion) and communication may not be perfect but you know why? That's not the most important thing, the most important thing is that the residents are loved and cared for. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to one of my patients or put another family member here and that's the highest praise I can give anyone!
