Charlene, Summer, Heather, Annie Archie and Reno are amazing, and they really cared about my mom. They are truly wonderful and giving people. But something important to note is that HH is NOT a memory care facility… my mom needed memory care and she did not get it here. Management told me that they were applying for memory care certification, That never happened. And nothing was ever mentioned to me about it again. Another thing to note is that possessions, including laundry, are shuffled around between all the residents… There is no way to get specific special things to your parent and know that it will stay with them. the laundry is commingled, folded, and sat on a counter for the RESIDENT to put away. Several things of hers went missing and when I asked about them, nobody knew anything. Too many patients, not enough caregivers. Another thing that needs to be mentioned is the quality of the food. I saw dinner that consisted of a rancid sausage link and a plate full of red cabbage that was supposed to be sauerkraut, very spicy and really inedible. That was the entire dinner. My mother lived at Heritage Heights for less than a year, and not once did I ever see a care plan, or even know that one existed, until she was moving to another facility and the new facility requested one from HH. Another concern was the way they treated us when I gave them notice that we would be leaving. The head of the facility never answered my letter or texts and emails, never tried to call me, I never heard from anyone in management even as we left. My overall impression of HH is that the staff is filled with great people who truly care. But management…… not so much. They have recently been undergoing a tremendous renovation that has left the lobby and front desk areas mostly empty. Very difficult to find someone to talk to about anything. Just make sure you get the facts before you place your elderly person there.
