Laurentide at Mashpee Commons

I cannot speak highly enough of Laurentide at Mashpee Commons. My own parents were residents (one in Avita Memory Care) before and during the Covid pandemic. I was able to bring their own dog in for outdoor visits at the time, and saw how much joy the dog brought to them. This inspired me to train and bring my own dog back with CAP Pet Therapy to visit current residents. It is nice to see that so many of their wonderful and dedicated staff members are still there. Beautiful, clean facility. Very caring and accommodating employees.

CAP Pet Therapy has visited with the residents of Laurentide for years with our certified therapy dogs. The staff and residents are so welcoming and it is such a nice place to visit. The atmosphere is pleasant and the residents speak very highly about the staff and cuisine at Laurentide. We are grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Laurentide to bring joy and companionship through pet therapy.

Choosing memory care for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions you can make, and I can say without hesitation that Laurentide Avita Memory Care has exceeded every hope we had for our mother’s care. We highly recommend this gem of a community where our Mom has been a resident since Nov., 2023 -- first in Assisted Living, then Avita Memory Care, and now on visiting hospice. The well-designed and maintained facilities, many common areas including 2 lush courtyards, great meals, variety of engaging activities, generous staffing levels, and transparent fee structure are definitely pluses. But, the exceptionally caring and attentive staff are the real difference makers. Residents and their families are fully supported with compassion, dignity, and respect in pursuit of their best possible quality of life. Laurentide’s smaller size fosters an “everybody knows your name and is looking out for you” culture embraced by staff member across all roles in this welcoming community. That philosophy is also reflected in the residents who seem to go out of their way to look after each other. Although there are other reputable facilities closer by, we are so grateful to have chosen to go the extra miles to Laurentide. – The Sullivan Family
