Kingston Residence of Sylvania

My grandmother mother had a hip replacement on Aug 1 2026 from a fall that occurred on July 31, 2026. On August 6, 2026, UTMC discharged her to Kingston of Sylvania with excessive drainage at her insertion site. When my 94 year old mother arrived at Kingston, we were advised that they could not admit her due to the excessive drainage at the insertion site and them being a rehab facility only. They then called 911 instead of contacting UTMC to iron out the discrepancies and she was transported to Flower hospital due to it being the closest hospital to the facility. She is now sitting in the ER when she should have NEVER been discharged without UTMC and Kingston confirming the facility could accommodate her needs before transferring her. This is neglect and improper patient care! She’s 94 for god’s sake! The state of Ohio has been contacted and I wouldn’t recommend this facility to ANYONE! I would have give them ZERO stars if I could due to them just shipping her off with no compassion or consideration!

My grandma was here after she had surgery on her broken hip service was awful no nurses around press the button many times no response i would not recommend coming here.

This place showed me how little these places care about the residents the managers are some of the worst I’ve ever encountered, most the stna and nurses aren’t really here to help there here to pick up a check and gossip there nothing but rude and disgusting people
