Brookdale Las Vegas has truly transformed in recent years! The building has seen major improvements in maintenance, along with fresh aesthetic upgrades that give it a warm and welcoming feel. The staff are compassionate and attentive, providing a level of care that really stands out. Conveniently located near the airport and affordably priced compared to others in the area, it’s a solid choice for quality senior living. If you haven’t been in for a while, it’s definitely worth taking another look—Brookdale Las Vegas has never looked better!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The facility is extremely outdated—from the rooms to the carpets—and is in serious need of renovation. Tours are constantly being given, and the amount of misinformation being told to prospective families is unacceptable. The building is severely short-staffed, yet they continue to admit residents who require full-care assistance, including bedbound individuals, without having the staffing to safely care for them. Staffing & Care Ratios On most shifts, there are only 2 med techs and 2 care staff for the entire building in AL. This leaves one care staff member responsible for approximately 23 residents, when the appropriate ratio should be closer to 1 care staff for every 8 residents. This is unsafe and unfair to both residents and staff. Activities There is a large poster advertising daily activities, yet almost none of them actually happen. The only consistent activities are bingo and occasionally doing nails. Outings are constantly canceled with excuses. Despite hiring three activity staff members, there is little to no meaningful engagement. One activity staff member is almost always decorating or making balloons and rarely interacts with residents. Another activity staff member in memory care appears disengaged and unprepared, mostly coloring or eating with residents rather than providing stimulation or interaction. Memory Care Management The memory care director is rarely present in her own department and instead involves herself in assisted living matters. She avoids accountability and places blame on nursing staff rather than addressing issues within memory care. Transportation Families are told transportation is available for medical appointments, but it has been taken away. Residents are now expected to find their own transportation—even those unable to do so or without outside support. Kitchen & Dining Concerns The kitchen Dee, previously abandoned the building for several years and was later rehired. He is also the marketing director’s husband, raising concerns about favoritism. In the evenings, kitchen staff have been observed not wearing gloves and using their phones while serving food. Residents are not served proper portions, and when they ask for more food, staff respond with attitudes and make remarks under their breath. ⸻ Overall, look elsewhere for your loved ones. The only reason this place is still standing is because of the care staff, who continue to do their best despite being overworked, understaffed, and unsupported.

When the hard choice to place a loved one into a facility is necessary, the easy option is to send them home to Brookdale. There is a bond here that is undeniable between staff and residents which made it easy to place my mom here and know that she is taken care of

I can't say enough positive things about the Brookdale Senior Living facility on Russell Road. Akierah, Saida, and Norm lead an all star staff. In particular, my wife has been given exceptional care. Cassandra, Trish, Jasmine and their friends get my stamp of approval for their attentive service. The dining area is beautiful, resembling an upscale restaurant. Vegas has a lot of places of interest, and Brookdale takes its residents to them regularly. Brookdale also has a theater, and a poker table. I highly encourage those who are interested in senior living to visit Brookdale and see for themselves . It's great.

My mom lived at Brookdale for just 10 months, but the experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the very beginning, we felt the warmth and care that make this smaller facility so special. The staff truly went above and beyond—not only making my mom feel right at home, but also treating our entire family like one of their own. They were attentive to every detail, from adjusting her meal plans to ensuring she never missed her favorite activities like exercise class and, most importantly, bingo. The community was always beautifully decorated for every holiday, creating such a festive and welcoming atmosphere. And the entertainment they brought in—often twice a week—was absolutely top-notch. Despite being an assisted living facility, Brookdale radiates joy. Seeing the genuine smiles on the residents' and staff’s faces every day gave us so much peace of mind. I wholeheartedly recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate place for their loved one.
