Memory Care side of this facility has been under State supervision since August 2025 and still is to this day. Once you run out of self pay money and rely on Medicaid, you are stuck at this facility. Almost all good homes require one year of self pay before tou can use Medicaid. Please, please and please consider another place for your loved one. My mother was with this location for two years. Her one bedroom started at $6500 and topped $11,000 near the end of her stay. Her Care Plan increased but the facility never increased her personal care. Email all concerns to the current ED as to keep a paper trail for State investigations for Licensing and Compliance. Also Ombudsman for Long Term Care are a great advocate for your loved one.

Our onboarding experience working with Shauna felt smooth and we felt understood while learning the ins and outs of moving a family member into a care facility for the first time.

If you have other options, do not placed your loved within the Memory Care unit. We removed my father as soon as possible after he experienced a drastic change in condition days after being admitted. Brookdale could not provide the staffing levels to provide him the care he needed. He was not bathed or groomed and my family had to step in and provide 24/7 1:1 care for him until we informed the Long-Term Care Ombudsman and got licensing involved. This facility cannot provide a safe level of staffing or the bare minimum support for ADLs required by the state. If this is your only option, you must consistently be an advocate for your loved one. Get every decision from them in writing, including changes in care plan. You should receive advance notice of this change in care plan. We did not. Involve the Long-Term Care Ombudsman if they are causing harm and placing your loved one at risk.
