Bickford of Scioto

The executive director is phenomenal. She is young and energetic. Has personal engagement with all the residents. Open to ideas and suggestions. Also, she has an open door policy so I can reach out with any questions. Their activities director is amazing. She is full of energy and great ideas. They have fun activities, themed events and fun guests including puppies. 😊 A church came by one day to hand each resident a carnation. So sweet. Yesterday my mom was out gardening and another resident was peeling the veggies for lunch. All their staff from nurses to caretakers are wonderful with the residents. They work hard at keeping residents engaged and loving on them. I feel very informed by all the staff. The building itself is beautifully decorated including memorabilia from the Bickford family, especially Mary B which the memory care unit is affectionately named after. The apartments are the perfect size whether you want an efficiency or 1 bedroom. I was able to bring in furniture and decor that would help mom feel at home. The safety and security is top notch. No one gets in or out of the building without a code, guests sign in and out and the elevator has a code for the memory floor. No escaping! My mom couldn't be in a better place besides home. ❤️
