My brother is dying of brain cancer and hes at the facility. The nurses try to do what they can with it being short staffed. Anytime my family has an issue, they are quick to react. They're also very compassionate about the patients. My family and I grateful for the staff.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! Facility is short staffed in every field. Thus leaving STNAs to care for 25+ elders at once. Recent RN nurse physical abuse in memory care caught on camera and went viral. No nursing scheduler leaving gaps of patient care. ADMIN, HR & DON are never interacting with patients (only when state was in building for citations). No security guard on campus. Bland meals with junk food as snacks. Middle courtyard doors not locked at night even after the sad winter accident at their sister facility. I RECOMMEND AVON NURSING HOMES AS OTHER OPTIONS

I wouldn't recommend Avenues of Brooklyn to anyone, they left my mother in bed for 3 weeks, terrible place
