Avamere at Sherwood Assisted Living Facility

I feel my mother gets good care there, everyone is pleasant, and concerning. The only item I feel,may need to be addressed is some of the meals. My mother was a cook and food manager for the school district for many years. She has mentioned several times about some of the items of food that she ordered has not been correct, not cooked completely or over cooked, items not given when ordered, and often the appearance is not appetiting. she knows you cook for many with different conditions, but if it does not look appealing people do not eat the food, they just throw it away. My mother can supplement her food sometimes as needed , but should not need to do that . Not sure who is incharge of the food program and prep , but who ever it is should perhaps go sit with my mom in her room and discuss perhaps some ideas and suggestions she may have to offer. if that is a possibility please text me and I can set up time and date for meeting. she is not one to intimidate, or made negative vibes....only to offer suggestions that may help make your program better. I love this place for my mom. Everyone is very kind and responsive to her needs. Her only complaint is the food.

While visiting my brother I have been very impressed with the staff at Avamere of Sherwood. They genuinely care about the residents and are good natured, helpful, respectful, and professional.

Avemera at Sherwood has been taking amazing care of my loved one and i wanted to say, they are amazing. They treat everyone like family, have lots of activities and warm hospitality throughout. Highly recommend!
