Trustwell Living at Astor Place

I am extremely happy with the support my aunt received while living at Astor Place. Her changing needs were met with care and skill, and her mental well-being was enhanced by the friendliness and cheerful attitude of the staff. Attention to detail was a hallmark of her care -- whether making sure her sandwiches were made to her liking, or treating her with grace and respect during her time there while on hospice. A lot of attention is paid to residents, as staff engages them in activities and spends time with them, just being present with them. The building is lovely and clean, inside and outside -- and deer stop by occasionally to visit!

Nana Tuimato is an amazing caregiver and always gives her 110%. She goes over and beyond with her job and makes sure the residents are well taken cared of. This line of work throws many curve balls at you but Nana doesn’t let anything stop her from remaining professional. She treats everyone around her like family……

My mother in law was at Astor Place for over 6 years. During that time there were a number of Caregivers who came and left. My mother in law was ninety eight years old when she died. The one constant in here care there was the staff and Kari Barber. Kari was always attentive to my mother in law’s needs. When Kari was on duty, she made certain my mother in law was dressed to the tee. My mother in law’s clothes matched and her jewelry and earrings matched as well. Kari walked to and from meals with my mother in law and escorted her to any event. Kari shows love and compassion for all residents and treats them as if they were her relatives. I am so grateful my mother had Kari and the other caregivers in her life.

My grandmother lived at Astor Place for about 6 and a half years. She was well cared for by the staff. However, Kari Barber always went the extra mile to make sure that my grandmother was dressed to the nines!
