Avoid avoid AVOID. Let me tell you the biggest red flag— Wallick communities adamantly hides behind a legal team - they will NOT release ANY records regarding your loved one’s care at the Ashford or any of their communities, and will continue to tell you they can’t provide them due to legal reasons. Stating that their legal team does not allow them to release any records. No matter who you are including POA or how you request the records, they will refuse to days end to provide anything outside of medication list/schedule. This is NOT okay. My loved one was not being cared for and was being dropped and the most honest person you could meet. They denied everything and had no records of any “falls”. They said, even if there was record, they couldn’t show me any incident reports whatsoever. This is again NOT okay. If residents are getting the care they need then why not provide incident reports??? No cameras allowed in the room to make sure everything is going okay. SKETCHY. And they’re way overpriced, food is awful not nutritious. Many residents complain about how bad it is. Facility may look nice, but it is not ran very well, Wallick will cut corners especially if it’s at the expense of your loved ones. I saw higher-ups come in one day and weren’t they driving the nicest cars like you wouldn’t believe. But loved ones are fed meals that are lower quality than prison meals. Save your time, energy, and frustrations and look elsewhere. Transferred our loved one’s to another facility that is more transparent and open.

Don't be fooled by how nice it looks. The director of care doesn't know how to, or won't do her job. The food has been horrible in the last month. Most of the staff are friendly, although they seem to have a high turnover rate.

Kier was absolutely amazing. The receptionist role is often the first and last interaction people experience, and Kier’s warmth and presence made the environment feel like home. That kind of welcome truly matters. Thank you, Kier!

We moved my mother-in-law into Ashford at Sturbridge in Jan of 2022 and we’ve been through lots of changes over her 3 years there. But, I want to share that the new director, Tammy, is absolutely wonderful! My husband and I met with Tammy and Anita (director of care) and they are both making so many wonderful changes to make the residents (& residents loved ones!) happy. It warms our hearts to see my MIL as happy as she has been recently!

The Ashford at Sturbridge has done such an amazing job bringing my mom into their community. Tammy, Christy and the entire staff have gone above and beyond to make my mom feel safe and included.
