Leadership refuses to be accountable. Didn't report to the family about another resident trying to strike our loved one. Instead of dealing with the violent resident, they punished our loved one and made her move to a smaller room. Refused to send a zoom link for us to have a conference call after telling us the week before that we could have a zoom meeting to include all of us. Ready to move her to a place that can be accountable and care for her the way she should be cared for.

It's a bad feeling to have to put your loved one into a nursing facility. I don't have a lot of experience with nursing homes. Alois is mostly good. They feed the patients very good food. The activities are fun. I have played noodle ball with them. They have ice cream socials, and people coming in to sing, word puzzles and TV. It's seldom the place smells bad. Every now and then. Not often. I appreciate the nursing staff. I wish they got more pay. They have a very difficult job. I couldn't do it.

My 97-yr-old stepmother is on Medicaid. I was really worried that we wouldn't be able to find a good placement for her. Alois has been a real blessing! The staff are very kind and really care about the residents' well-being. The facility is clean and cheerfully decorated, the medical supervision is excellent, and the food is good. Alois may not have all of the amenities of a high end facility like an indoor pool, etc., but it provides solid care. I highly recommend it!

Staff are competent and caring. Makes me feel secure knowing he is safe and taken care of.

I appreciate that Alois specializes in care for patients with Alzheimer’s/dementia and other degenerative brain conditions, and that they have tiered units based on patients’ capabilities. Staff are friendly and helpful and the facility is kept clean. I would like more activities/stimulation for residents with lesser functioning.
