My brother has been a resident here for a year and a half and this team has taken incredible care of him. He was in two different assisted living facilities before and neither of those places took half as good care of my brother. In fact this is the healthiest he has been in years.

DO NOT PLACE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE!!!! The owner is rude and extremely combative, reckless and dangerous. I suspected that she was overmedicating my grandmother because after she moved in here, I could almost never get her on the phone. She was always asleep and when she wasn't, she could not carry on a coherent conversation. When I was finally able to go visit her I found her in bed with nothing but a sweater and a dirty diaper on with no blankets. She was almost completely exposed, her hair was a mess, and she was unconscious. I looked around the room and nothing that belonged to her was there. The last time I was there I gave her a phone and a bunch of family photos for her to have. I asked where her things were and the owner gave me her phone WHICH DIDNT HAVE THE SIM CARD IN IT...no one knows what happened to it...explain that to me. I asked where the photos were and the owner began yelling at me to sit down. I told her no, and she threatened to call the police. She said I was attacking her. I was standing 10 feet away and asking about my grandmother's belongings. When she finally went to get them they were in a pillowcase in some random closet on the other side of the house. Not in my grandmother's room on display as they should be, THAT'S WHAT PHOTOS ARE FOR. When they finally got my grandmother up, she had to be placed in a wheelchair because she was completely out of it. Before my grandmother moved into this house ONE MONTH AGO, she could carry a conversation, she had thoughts and opinions, she could walk on her own, take herself to the bathroom, she could feed herself, walk herself outside to go have a cigarette, she was even flirting with other residents at the last group home she was in. The owner keeps her so drugged up and over medicated that she's essentially comatose. She says it's because of my grandmother's decline and dementia. She justifies this by saying my grandmother is combative and that she doesn't have time to give individual care. That tells me that she is not competent or capable of continuing in her chosen profession. Keeping my grandmother constantly drugged to the point of complete incapacity would have killed her. I would not wish this kind of treatment on my worst enemy. This group home needs to be investigated and shut down IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT SEND PEOPLE HERE AND DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR MONEY. Because to top it off! Oh yes, there's more! SHE DOES NOT HONOR CONTRACTS. Don't sign with her. Do not giver her your money. Do not condemn your loved one to her care. In case you're wondering, yes, I absolutely had her moved into a home with a safe, kind, communicative owner and my grandmother is getting better.

This place is dangerous. Before my mom moved in here I could talk to her. She could hold a conversation with me, she could tell me stories, she could complain, whatever. She was forgetful, but she was still herself. Days after she moved here when I got her on the phone her speech would be slurred or she would respond to me in a way that was disconnected. She sounded completely detached from reality. Weeks after living there I can’t even get her on the phone. She is “asleep” 24/7. They think just because I live in another state that they can do whatever they want and keep your family member drugged out of their minds. This isn’t right. This is not how she deserves to be treated and this isn’t what she would want.

We couldn't be happier with the care and attention given to my family members at Aloha Paradise Care. About four years ago my Father In Law had dementia and could no longer care for himself. We did not want to put him in a big nursing home so my husband and I looked at several different assisted living homes and were not happy with the conditions or set up that we saw. A friend of ours told us about Aloha Paradise Care and we made an appointment to look at it. We loved that it was a home environment setting with staff 24 hours a day to attend to the residence. We were happy with the care that my Father In Law received . My Godmother started to decline and was unable to care for herself also. She now has been a resident at Aloha Paridise Care for almost a year. We also like the location because its close for us to come visit her. It's comforting to know that she is being cared for. She now has meals prepared for her, help with her showers, getting ready for the day, and her medicine's given to her when needed. Staff is very attentive and kind to my Godmother. I'm very happy that I found Aloha Paradise Care.

My husband lasted 6 days and after paying $5300 I totally regret my decision to place him here. It appears he was too medicated to eat and drink and ended up with aspiration pneumonia which caused his death. I tried getting some of my $ back after a mere 6 days ,,to no avail.
