With the help of an eldercare consultant, we moved my aunt into Wisteria Senior Home in January 2016. We had toured other facilities, but nothing compared to Wisteria. Up until that time, my aunt enjoyed life in her condo. However, due to some recent health issues, she could no longer live on her own. We tried in-home caregivers, but my aunt just wasn’t comfortable with that set-up, so we decided it was time for some outside assistance. My first impression of Wisteria Senior Home was that it was a very attractive, clean, and bright newly built home. It has a perfect layout for seniors with spacious hallways, cozy bedrooms, handicapped equipped bathrooms, a big kitchen and dining area and a comfortable great room filled with leather Lazy Boy recliners and a big screen TV above the fireplace. Each bedroom is also equipped with its own TV. There is also a furnished deck outside of the great room, which comes in very handy during the summer months. My aunt loved sitting outside enjoying the fresh air and watching the birds. I always felt confident that my aunt was living in a clean, tidy, and healthy environment. During my aunt’s 2 ½ year stay at Wisteria, the caregivers proved to be not only knowledgeable, but kind, caring and compassionate. My aunt had her share of ups and downs, but I was confident she was getting the best care imaginable. Residents at Wisteria are always clean and dressed and have their three home-cooked meals around the dining room table. There is always good food and good conversation with specified meal times. My family and I have always considered Wisteria Senior Home Care staff and caregivers to be a Godsend. I know my aunt lived the last stage of her life being pampered. I can’t thank them enough for all they did for my aunt and my family.
