Windsor of Palm Coast

UPDATE: I'd originally posted this 2.5 years ago, shortly after my mom first moved into Windsor. Now, after the passage of those many months (not to mention the passing of my mom, just 3 days shy of her 100th birthday), I can unequivocally tell you that neither I, nor my initially reluctant mom, have regretted the decision to move her here!!! In the early months, she refused to use the term "home" to refer to her 1 bedroom apartment. After about a year, however, I began hearing that word used more and more. During those 2.5 years, aside from the usual meals, housekeeping, bathing, and other forms of care mom received, there were several times I'd needed to call on staff for help (I'm the only living relative, and I'm 1100 miles away) and ALWAYS were they there to help. The Director, Naomi Peacock, was always helpful and very professional, Brenda (the Activities Director) treats everyone like they are the most loved, most important person in the world, and the rest of the staff were always kind and responsive to my mom, and I didn't have to just take someone else's word for it...during her stay, because of her particular needs, there were numerous times when I went down to Florida to help her out and would stay in her apartment, sometimes for weeks at a time. I saw and experienced their care first hand! To say I'd recommend the Windsor would be an under-statement! ------------------------ Mom (97) was so resistant to leaving her home of 35 years, but it was "time"...maybe even past time! But she moved in and her experience has been very positive. As she meanders down the hallway, or is at mealtime, staff are constantly calling her by name and asking how her day is going, or some other pleasantries. She definitely likes the food, and appreciates the safety protocols, like checking on her at bedtime and first thing in the morning to invite her to breakfast (and be sure she's OK). As a daughter who lives over 1000 miles away and is still working full time, my greatest fears have been that something might happen to her and no one would even know for days. The strain of that was wearing on me before...now I know she's in good hands. Meal times are nice too because of some new friends that mom has made...so grateful for those connections. When you look at the "marketing" of any place, the question always comes to mind "yeah, but how realistic is all that". In this case it's VERY!!! Thank you to management and staff at the Windsor. You're helping to give my mom a new "home" where she is safe, well cared for, and treated with love and compassion!!!

My experience at The Windsor of Palm Coast was truly wonderful! Ms. Debbie provided us with extremely formative and helpful information, giving us a comprehensive and welcoming tour of the facility. It was a pleasure to meet Miss Ruth, the ambassador, as well as a few of the other lovely ladies who were enjoying a game of bingo during our visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was evident that the residents were happily engaged in their activities. The facility itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which gave us peace of mind. The staff members we encountered were kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. The visit was not only informative but also reassuring, as it felt like a place where my grandmother would be comfortable and well-cared for. Overall, The Windsor of Palm Coast left a very positive impression, and we are confident it would be a great choice for my grandmothers care.

The most caring and loving assisted living residence for my love one to live in. The whole staff are always on top of any needs or requests should I or my loved one has. We couldn’t be happier or imagine anywhere else. Thank you ALL!

Great facilities and staff. The menu looked great. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is the size of the apartments.
