Vista West

My disappointing experience with Vista West during my assisted living search for parent. At first, Vista made a good impression. The sales rep (Jackie) was friendly, the tour went smoothly, and the application process felt very supportive. Unfortunately, our experience changed quickly after the assessment. I received an email from Vista stating my parent's application was declined, which I accepted, but no clear explanation was provided. Assuming there was a legitimate reason(s) and wanting to better understand what level of care to focus on in our continued search, I sent follow‑up emails asking for clarification on the reason(s). Every message went unanswered. Once it became clear my parent was no longer a potential resident, the communication directly to me simply stopped. Being ghosted during such an important and emotional process added unnecessary anxiety, heartbreak, and lost time. All we wanted was a brief explanation to help guide our next steps in our continued assisted living search. I have friends with parents who will soon be looking for assisted/independent living, and I will be sharing my experience with them as well. Transparency and basic courtesy matter, especially in a process as sensitive as this one. This was truly a disappointing experience.

I feel very comfortable entrusting my spouse to Vista West. As I have told countless friends, I have no complaints. The staff, across the board, is pleasant and helpful at all times. When things are looking up for her, staff cheers her (and me) on -- including once sending me a picture that I treasure. It is now my screensaver and on my favorite coffee cup.

I am very content and enjoy my life here at Vista West. I’m free to come and go. I’m invited to whatever I would like to be invited to. I love the apartment especially the windows. I don’t often eat the meals downstairs because they’re a little heavy for what I prefer to eat. I use my monthly expense money for the restaurant on the lunch menu that you can order all day every day. I’m very satisfied with what I get out of the kitchen for my lunch. Thankful that there

Every time you call, they transfer you to Shawntay, and she never responds, never returns calls, and never provides an update. It's extremely unprofessional, and it shows how poorly they communicate with applicants.

I never imagined living in a senior community could be as enjoyable as it is here at Vista West this last year. There are so many active and friendly residents. We have a great, friendly and helpful staff. The time goes fast with all the actives to choose from. We are truly enjoying life here at Vista West.
