My father needed to move from acute rehab to skilled and Village Shalom was our choice. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Everyone at Village Shalom was extremely helpful, caring and responsive. His care has been great and staff has assisted us in navigating difficult decisions to move him to assisted living for the next stage. We will now be moving him and my mother into a very nice unit there shortly.

In hard times when trying to find a place for your parent, you expect for long term care homes to respond to you. It is such a stressful time and process. I have placed SO many unreturned calls and sent multiple emails with no response. Rather than just say they had no rooms for a Medicaid patient, they ignored me over and over. This was highly unprofessional and inconsiderate. I guess the bright side is - if admitting ignores someone, what does that say about the care? Highly disappointed in this organization.

Doesn’t accept everyone

Village Shalom is one of Johnson county Kansas, better places to live! Although Staffing problems happen, This facility works together to create an atmosphere of comfort and security! Village Shalom will possibly be the very best place to live for decades. God's "Shalom" , abide here!
