VILLAGE GREEN ALZHEIMER'S CARE HOME, LLC

We moved Mom to Village Green - Woodlands a year ago after a year in another memory care unit. We did a lot of research and every recommendation came back to VG - Woodlands. After our initial meeting with the director Norma Del Castillo, we were sold. Norma is a compassionate, responsive, hands-on leader and her team reflects her leadership. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and inviting with dedicated bathrooms. The unit is decorated with motivational and religous art and is very welcoming. When Mom started to transition, Norma was honest and helped us through the tough decision to place Mom in hospice. The hospice team was incredible (Bayou City Hospice) and the hospice nurses echoed that they have not worked in a better memory care unit than Village Green - Woodlands. We highly recommend Norma and her team.

My mom has been here for over a year and I could not be happier with the care and respect from the team towards her. I trust the entire team. Norma is the best manager and really loves all of the residents. I am very blessed to have found this place for my mom.

Mom has been at Village Green for 18 months now. Norma and her staff have provided compassionate care, not just for the day to day living but ensuring fun and creative activities for the residents. Norma makes all the residents (and family of residents) feel special and loved. Some of the residents may not be able to express verbally, but you can ALWAYS tell by how their faces light up when engaging with Norma. And when a resident needs a urgent bathroom run/change and the staff are occupied with other residents, Norma and her med techs do not hesitate to step in for the comfort of the resident. Caregiving at this level is not just a job, but a calling. We are so grateful to have a team of angels caring for Mom.

My father was the first resident at this facility. He has been there almost 5 years now. We absolutely love the owners of Village Green, the culture of love and care they have created and the professionalism of the staff. The executive director, Norma, is involved in every aspect of the residents care and she truly loves them all. She is so kind and knows how to calm and help each one. She is also a wonderful support to the families who are on this tough journey with their loved ones. The residents’ wellbeing always comes first for her. We know Dad is in good hands at Village Green.

Norma continues to operate Village Green with love and joy and ALWAYS puts the residents first. My mom and I are very lucky. (My mother has been there for six months and has received excellent care. Norma, the director, is very hands on and genuinely loves each resident. The staff is attentive, esp. Karen and Kim.)
