Village Concepts of Fairwood

My husband has lived at Fairwood Village in memory care for almost five years. I go quite often to visit him and have always found the caregivers and staff to be supportive of me while taking very good care of him. He enjoys the food and I’ve also found it to be quite tasty.

We moved my wife into memory care 2 months ago after working with Jennifer V. She was of great help making the tour and necessary arrangements to accommodate my wife. The facility is nice and staff are friendly. Her room and bathroom are always clean and spacious. Paya T is always helpful if we need something as we are new here. Looking for more positive experience as times go on.

My aunt recently moved into this assisted living community, and even though she’s only been there a short time, we are already so impressed. The staff has been incredibly welcoming, patient, and attentive, helping her feel comfortable during the transition. You can really tell they care about the residents and take the time to get to know them. The community is clean, cozy, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere. My aunt enjoys the meals, the activities, and the little interactions she has with the caregivers and other residents. It’s such a relief to see her settling in and being treated with kindness and respect. We’re grateful for the smooth start she’s had here and feel confident she’s in good hands. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend the staff at Village Concepts enough. As my father entered into advanced stage dementia, we were really lost as to how to proceed. Originally, we wanted him to have a nice retirement setting with assisted living. Jennifer from Village Concepts was great. Giving us a tour of the facility, showing us the rooms, and explaining how Dad's living situation would work. We met with her multiple times, even bringing Dad to the facility for dinner to see how he would like it. Unfortunately, the disease worsened faster than we could have anticipated and we had to then switch to consider full time memory care. Jennifer was great, keeping in constant communication with us on new units that became available. Of course, nothing is better than being at home with family, but that isn't always practical. In a remarkable set of circumstances we were able to keep Dad at home, and care for him until he died peacefully in his own bed. That being said, we were very prepared, in case things got beyond our ability, to have him live out the remainder of his life at Village Concepts. We had absolute trust in their staff and professionalism, and Jennifer and her team were empathetic and helpful every step of the way. I can say that dealing with a loved one with dementia is very hard and if you need help, don't do it alone...go to people like Village Concepts who have experience in handling this type of situation. On a final note, I did interview a private nurse just in case she would be needed, and she had formerly worked for Village Concepts...she had no current affiliation with the organization, so she could give me an unfiltered opinion of them as an organization. She gave them a glowing review and assured me that having been there on the inside, from a staff perspective, we would have no issues entrusting Dad to their care. In the end, their services were not needed, but I really want to express my thanks for their support throughout this process.
