Vi at the Glen

From the perspective of this senior citizen, I‘m very lucky to live at Vi at the Glen. If I’m lonesome, there’s always someone to talk with. I never had as many friends at one time as I have now. So many activities are available that sometimes I have to choose between two offered at the same time. Among my favorites are the Improv group, where we do a lot of laughing, and the art class where I particularly like working with pastels and getting my fingers into my work. The lectures and discussion groups are thought-provoking and stimulating. Musical and other forms of entertainment are also frequently on the calendar. Each evening I choose between eight different dinner entrees with an assortment of breads, soups, starters, and sides, not to mention the tempting, delicious desserts. We have lovely grounds, with a setting conducive to dining outside when the weather permits. Life is good at Vi at the Glen. Karyl Golden

After living here for 10 years, 7 with my husband, I still find this a remarkable place with helpful, caring staff and more friends than we could have imagined. There are more activities than anyone can do, better, more varied food than most restaurants, and every effort is made to keep us safe and healthy. This is a wonderful place to live!

At the end of August I will be celebrating 24 years as a Resident of Vi at The Glen, My husband was with me for 22 of those years. During that time our care in every category was met and then some. I have the choice of two lovely dining rooms and a bistro to enjoy delicious and healthy meals with others or maybe occasionally in my apartment. There are programs to keep me mentally and physically healthy and entertained. There is a Care Center in the community for short or long term care when I need it. And then there is a Staff and a Resident Council that wants to hear about whatever concerns and suggestions I may have. So come visit. See it and feel it for yourself. Have to run now. Can’t be late for my line dance class😊

We having been living at The Vi for three years and couldn't be happier. We know that we made the right decision to come here. From the moment we first contacted The Vi concerning possible residence, we were treated superbly. We can’t say enough about the helpful and welcoming the staff. From Paul and Chris, valets ,to Kay, Laura and Mary Ann at the front desk, to the entire dining staff, maintenance and housekeeping, and especially our housekeeper, Digna. We are so happy to have made The Vi our home.

We moved to the Vi in Glenview, IL seven weeks ago. The minute we walked in the front door we were impressed by the light and openness of the lobby. We were greeted by the staff with happy faces. Our first instinct was correct as soon as we moved in. The Vi was so helpful with helping arrange everything. The staff in every department are so helpful and friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. So happy we chose the Vi and highly recommend it!
