VI at Palo Alto

My father has received long-term care here for several months. The staff members know his daily routine, food preferences, and medication schedule. That personal attention has helped him feel more comfortable and less anxious.

Food is good quality but monotonous. Dining staff- some considerate with others and some are not. Not prepared for so many walkers and electric vehicles. Safety- 24 hr staff is adequate for residential safety. Transportation is very good. Housekeeping is excellent. Entertainment- not as many bus tours as previous. Evening entertainment- not very good.

I found every single member of the staff of Vl of Palo Alto was most excellent! The kindness, Quality of care, Respect, Caution And thoroughness was beyond compare! I hated to leave all those wonderful people and the care they provided for me and for other others around me! I will always be grateful and I thank them, One and all equally!

My mother has been at the Vi of Palo Alto (formerly Hyatt Classic Residence) since the day it opened close to 25 years ago. She started in Independent Living, has used the SNF level 3-5 times post surgeries, and moved to the Assisted Living level 5 years ago when she started needing help with bathing and taking her daily medication. I have nothing but roaringly positive things to say about her entire experience. At now almost 99 years old she still says "am I ever lucky to be in a place like this" at least 1/week. Several reasons it's so great aside from being in near perfect weather never near the Stanford campus. Incredible staff, beautiful facility, great programming and residents who want to keep feeding their curiosity about the world. A++++++++.
