My father went from independent living to assisted in a matter of months. The care in assisted was HORRIBLE. The excuse we were given is that they are "understaffed". That didn't keep them from taking the extra money for his add on care that he did NOT receive. And to be completely honest, Yonathon treated my family as though we were a hinderance. When my sister would call to talk about my father's care, Yonathon would audibly sigh in the phone. I could actually hear it when I sat next to her. They only see the $$$$.

Response from the owner

Dear Ms. Dath, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are saddened to hear that your father's care and your family's experience did not meet your expectations. We regularly receive accolades for the love and support provided by our staff. Your father was adored by our team members, and we were privileged to have been a part of his life. We value all feedback and remain committed to providing compassionate care and continually evaluate how we can best serve our residents and their families. We wish you, William and your family peace and comfort. Sincerely, Townehouse Management

My dad lived at the Townehouse for 10 months. We picked the Townehouse as our family has lived here in Ventura for over 57 years and my brother worked at the Townehouse in high school in the 70’s. We thought it had a great reputation. Boy, was I wrong. The administration, especially Evan and Johnathon, tell you what you want to hear. I just found out that Johnathon is the owner’s son, so that really tells you they don’t care. If you do not have an advocate checking on your loved one, you had better get one. My dad was in memory care due to his Parkinson’s. James, who runs Memory Care, and his staff try their best to help when problems come up, but they are extremely understaffed. When I went to Evan and Johnathon to complain about it a few times I got nowhere. I even told Evan he should go help change briefs as that is what James does to help out. My dad passed away 3 weeks ago and I have yet to get a call, card, or any condolence from the Townehouse. The staff at Memory Care showed our family much sympathy, but to get nothing from the Townehouse management is an utter disgrace.

Response from the owner

Your father was truly loved by our staff and we were honored to be a part of his life and care. We strive to provide compassionate support every day. We are grateful for the kind words about our Memory Care staff and will share your feedback with the team. We take all concerns seriously and are continuously working to enhance the experience for residents and families alike. We wish you and your family peace and comfort during this difficult time.
