Absolutely the lowest of low in care for the poor seniors stuck there. There are plenty of other options in the area to look at for so many reasons

The building is up for sale and has been for five years. Bringing a loved one to be a resident of this facility is strongly discouraged for the following reasons: (1) the facility is in peril and decline. There have been three Executive Directors: three Directors of Wellness and four Directors of Sales in a nine month period. The current Executive Director and several of those she brought with her (April 2024) are incompetent, inexperienced, immature, disrespectful, rude, and dishonest. Legitimate issues were raised, Rhandi Smith, ED took the issues personally, and targeted my mother - who was completely innocent and unaware of the concerns raised. She and her minions began ignoring and excluding my mother and eventually implementing sneaky, underhanded tactics that lead to a CONSTRUCTIVE EVICTION. Once the State of Michigan got involved, she began backtracking trying to cover her tracks by (again) misrepresenting the facts. (2) STAFFING. The facility is frequently understaffed. Therefore, the residents are not receiving the contractual level of care. They are not receiving consistent care. They aren’t being showered, etc. Agency personnel are called in to supplement. One worked 24 straight hours May 25th, 2024. The agency workers are untrained and less than diligent in most instances. Be prepared to consistently be visible and/or pay additional $$$ for a private duty caregiver as you will not receive the level of care you’ve paid for. Pendants go unanswered for considerable amounts of time. Ask for the pendant records for a specified period of time. (3) Tiny Black Bug Infestation. The ongoing infestation that continues to be ignored and untreated. Corporate and the local administration are indifferent and unresponsive. (4) Dietary. The quantity and quality of food is sub par. In what planet is 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich and chips an appropriate dinner? Dessert is frequently a cookie that is placed on the plate while the resident’s are eating or placed on the unsanitary placemat. (5) Unsecured facility. Push the button, come in. I left the facility approximately 9 pm night before last (dressing and preparing my mother for bed) and witnessed an unidentified male walking in, unescorted carrying food. (6) The heating and cooling is in need of repair or replacement. (7) Lack of PPE and supplies for the employees to do their jobs as money is spent on lunches and decorating the ED’s office. It is beyond comprehension why an individual with ZERO experience as an ED is placed in a facility in peril. There were 36 residents in July 2023. Effective June 1 there are approximately 20 residents. Eleven families have removed their loved ones in the past seven weeks - that Rhandi Smith has been at the helm. The leadership team lacks empathy and the core competencies to provide care. Check the public records for the complaints filed. Ask for references. Talk to the residents who are verbal and are not in mental decline. They’ll tell you how they’re treated. Talk to the family members. If you decide to move your loved one in, have the Ombudsman on speed dial and be prepared to pay THP’s fees; be ever present and pay for private duty care Beware. Our seniors deserve better.

WARNING!!!! Do NOT under any circumstance consider the Townehall Place of W. Bloomfield as a suitable place for your loved one. Do NOT under any circumstance allow the charm of the facility to cause you to consider it. The representatives at corporate are indifferent and unresponsive. It is shocking they would be so reckless as to place someone with ZERO experience as an ED in a facility that is struggling. The local leadership is INEXPERIENCED, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL. The new “Executive Director” is a bully. She and her minions have no soft-skills, they lack empathy and treat both the residents and their family members with disdain. The facility is not secure. Press the button and walk in. There is an ant infestation in the building snd the heating cooling needs to be repaired or replaced. The residents do not receive the value for their money. They do not receive consistent care or attention. Check the public records for complaints about Bridge Senior Living and especially Townehall Place in particular. Avoid this facility at all cost. WARNING!!!!

My mother is currently a resident aa aTown Hall Town Plaza. They have been outstanding at helping us deal with a very difficult situation. My mom had a very short turn around for moving from one facility to West Bloomfield Town Center Town Plaza. Randi has been so professional, kind and understanding. My sister is in Florida and I am in Reno NV . Everyone has worked hard to insure my mom is taken care of properly even though we are limited by distance. I must mention Chardonnay, Tanisha, and Lisa have tried so hard to help my mom does not understand how to use a cellphone and has completely lost several phone charger Everyone has gone above and beyond to keep my mother, Wilma Baskin happy, busy and in good health. What a comfort it is to know my mom is safe and happy. Thank you so much. They make an extremely difficult situation we are facing.

This place is one of the worst facilities you could ever bring someone too……The only people more inept than the staff, is the management……They leave residents who need help for hours and rarely respond to the help buttons……Just awful!!
