My family member was there for a short time window. I trusted them to take care of her. Promises were made but definitely not kept. I wouldn’t trust the owner/ property manager to run a lemonade stand let alone a senior facility. Complete disorganization, greed and lack of accountability and concern . The most egregious part of it all is instead of taking responsibility for failures and missteps, they engage in blame shifting and slanderous statements against the families for speaking out. Openly hostile, completely unprofessional. A lot of these reviews read exactly the same and look at the owner’s responses to them. You can plainly see this person is unethical by reading their words to families who trusted his “company” with their loved ones lives

One star only because I cant leave zero. Heartless, unprofessional staff that only care about $$$. They apparently dont view thie residents as people with family members nor do they know how to pick up a phone and call family members when residents conditions change! A horrible excuse of assisted living. They point fingers and avoid accountability at all cost. Avoid this place at all causes!

If I could go any lower than a one star I would. First off let me say by saying that I am not a former employee. My parents were actually at the Westland house for two weeks. We were looking for somewhere for our parents to relax and rest and have some independent living after they sold the home of 35 years. I don’t know whether Chris is the owner of the manager or what he is. He will reel you in by telling you all good things about this place and how good your parents or loved ones will have it. The executive Director, also the same situation they both reassured me that it would be easier on me and my family. We would not be stressed out so much and have to worry so much. The whole two weeks they were there with a particular apartment they were in was nothing but chaos. none of our wishes were followed as far as what we wanted for our parents. My parents were more independent than what is required by most people that are in that situation. It was more of a nursing home setting and not independent living. The last couple days that we were there the toilet backed up and it kept backing up at night and leaking and flooding the floor. Their maintenance person came in to try to fix it for three days straight and could not fix it or find the leak. finally one night about midnight or 1230. I believe it was the floor was flooded again now mind you, my parents are elderly and have to get around to go to the bathroom and risk a fall with the wet floor. The answer from the aid or the company was they came in and snake it couple times that night. And when my mom asked, where should I go to the bathroom since I can’t go in there and use the toilet. Their response was go down the hall to the bathroom by the lobby now mind you like I said my parents are elderly and cannot get around that easily and like most elderly parents won’t make it to the bathroom. it’s not like it is right next-door. And the other response was they backed up the toilet with toilet paper and it was their fault the issue with that is my family uses the very thin toilet paper that is septic tank safe which is SCOT tissue. They ended up calling a plumber in that night to look at toilet. The plumber had to rebuild the toilet . They did fix it however no one ever apologized to my parents about upsetting them or blaming them. I would not recommend this facility for your loved ones for assisted-living or any care. For the most part the AIDS were nice and they did their job however some of them did not want to be there or do their job. So please look into other facilities in the area if you’re looking for an assisted living or independent living for your loved ones.. I move my parents out to a different facility where they’re much happier and their wishes are met. Now since I can’t reply to the owners comments I want people to to understand something my grandson he is talking about is 3 yrs old so what 3 yr isn’t unruly at times.. and has far my mom getting upset in lobby when she got there anyone that sells their house of over 35 yrs and has to move would be upset but both him and the director assured me they deal with that type of situation on a day to day basis.. as far as checks bouncing yes because an account was closed after 30 plus yrs of being open because bills were paid multiple times which over drew account.. and my step dad wasn’t happy every day he was there either. Like I said this is more a nursing home setting not assisted living. And believe me if anyone talks to Any of the residents and ask how they like it there they will tell you they are there because they have no choice.. my parents are now on ma much better place that they actually like. And needless to say if this facility tries to withdraw any money from their account after they only lived there two weeks there will be legal action..they of over $5000 to move in and none of it was refundable ..
