The Residence at Selleck's Woods

Saturday for lunch I had a Quinoa and Kale salad with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and a lemon vinegar dressing…Anthony made this healthy and delectable salad which he created . it was the healthiest meal I’ve had in my 5 years of being here. i need more of his creations … he is our hidden gem in the kitchen. This is my Moms first week here and everything is exceptional. The community is welcoming and warm. The staff is friendly and professional and the food is amazing- 5 star restaurant quality! Chef Dane uses fresh herbs and fresh local fish. Delicious!!!

As a 24-hour community dedicated to supporting our seniors, I understand that certain departments such as the Business Office and Concierge have designated operating hours. However, resident care and communication needs do not stop after those hours, and neither should our responsiveness. Recently, I called the community and allowed the phone to ring for approximately two minutes without an answer. When I called back, the phone rang for nearly four minutes before I was able to get someone’s attention by seeing a team member pass by the entrance. This level of response is concerning and does not align with the service standards our residents, families, and visitors deserve. When the concierge is unavailable, there should be a clear chain of command in place to ensure calls are answered promptly, whether by nursing staff or another designated team member. I respectfully ask that leadership review the current process and implement a solution to ensure incoming calls and visitors receive timely assistance. Providing exceptional service is everyone’s responsibility, regardless of department or shift.

I am a current resident of Sellecks Woods. I really loved Alex’s music choice and exercise class. She is always high energy and a lot of fun. She is an asset to Sellecks woods! Mavel our engagement director creates very interesting classes and exercise programs for us. Anthony one of our chefs/servers always knows my allergies and restrictions and they know exactly what to do when I order something. This is one of my favorite parts of living here.

So happy with the care and support my mother receives at The Residence at Sellecks Woods. The staff truly go out of their way to make sure the residents are safe and well cared for at all times. During the recent blizzard, they even had several staff members spend the night to ensure service and care would not be interrupted. Such a great feeling to know mom is in such great hands. The staff in the Emerald Suites are especially wonderful!
