I have never expected to find myself in a place like this at my age. I was always very active and use to doing everything on my own, so this was a big adjustment for me. However, from the moment I arrived, I have felt welcomed, cared for and supported. Everyone-and I mean everyone have been wonderful. I am so grateful for the kindness, care, and sense of community I have found here. The oaks has become more than I've ever expected, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring welcoming environment!

Terrible service , no help. Lazy employees who clearly do not care. They will neglect your loved ones. My grandmother was taken here after surgery, she could not walk without assistance. They made her wait six hours to use the bathroom after she had called and called for help. They never bathed or checked on her all day. We moved her as quickly as possible and now have to treat her UTI in addition to the post surgery care they were not doing. Stay away.

I don’t know why everyone says this a great place. Don’t go by the reviews are here. Most of these great reviews are written by the workers and their relatives and friends. It’s a horrible place. Lazy nurse aide. Nurses don’t care if you suffer or in pain. They didn’t have my relative’s medication there, so my relative was suppose to suffer in pain or have a stroke over the weekend waiting for medication to come through? This place didn’t care. Why didn’t this place make sure before my relative came that all the medication was there. The nurses just shrugged their shoulders and told my relative to wait till the next day, didn’t care how important the medication was. My relative continually told them the medications she needed are to keep her from having a stroke and to keep her alive. Plus, the rooms look outdated. Food was cold, bland, and disgusting. It took nurse aide an hour to come take my relative to the bathroom. They put my relative in a room that had a dirty, flooding toilet, water all over the floor. They didn't care to switch rooms, get emergency maintenance, or use bed pan so my relative wouldn’t have to walk on wet bathroom floor. They didn’t care if my relative got wet, my relative has pneumonia, which almost took her life, and couldn’t get wet. This place knew the bathroom was flooding before my relative came there, but was still put in that room, to make money off a patient, thinking we’d overlook it. My relative didn’t get proper care, relaxation, rehabilitation. The nurses, nursing supervisor, nurse aide smiled and lied in my face like they would take care of my relative and didn’t, when I kindly talk to them about my relative’s issues. But my relative cause no problems, but this place did and that’s why my relative wanted out the first day. My relative can’t live without her medication nor live in a dirty flooding bathroom.

My mom lived at the oaks at Woodfield since the beginning of covid. On April 10th 2026, my mom died. Thank you for caring for her during her stay.
