The Huntingdon at Homestead Village takes good care of my father. He loves it there because he feels like he is at home with people that care about him. He feels safe and he is happy. His happiness, safety, and good care is all I can ask for as his daughter.

Mom has lived at the Huntingdon for a little over two years. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful for the residents. The facilities are well kept and clean. There are numerous activities for the residents. I happily recommend the Huntingdon.

Our family loves The Huntington at Homestead Village. . My mom has been at this facility for years and we are so happy that we chose the Huntington. The staff is so kind to the residents and take care of their needs. They work hard to make sure that everyone feels like this is their home. Patrol Pilot
Went in to tour the facility for mother in law, was asked about her situation, explained said situation. Immediately told, "Oh, we're completely full. Try somewhere else." Entire exchange, WE SCHEDULED, was over in under ten minutes. Never even offered to look, was basically kicked out. Save yourself the trouble.

Mr. Strickland, I am sorry for the feelings you are having based on your visit. We pride ourselves on asking qualifying questions to help direct families with the level of care necessary for their loved ones. We do so to avoid future frustrations when there may be a call to transfer a resident to a higher level of care. The Huntingdon at Homestead Village is not licensed, nor able to care for those with cognitive issues at a certain level. Although I was not part of your experience, I would like to learn more so we can address it with our staff at Homestead Village, but also maybe I can explain our process better. Homestead Village has been serving the Eastern Shore since 1997 and has had multiple deficiency free surveys with the state of Alabama. We pride ourselves on caring for our residents the correct way and our 99%-100% census proves our residents do not leave us once here.
