The Claiborne at Thibodaux

This is my home for almost 5 years. I like it and I love the trips, activities, and friends I've made. Workers are nice and sociable. I am very comfortable here and the environment is clean. The food is good.

My grandmother was in the memory care unit at The Claiborne in Thibodaux for a couple of years, and our experience was nothing short of upsetting. She was found outside wandering more than once—on a locked memory care unit. That alone says a lot about the lack of supervision. The communication with our family was awful. Most of the time, it was my parents who noticed she had something medically wrong before the nursing staff did. That’s not how it should be. You expect trained professionals to be paying attention—not your loved ones to have to constantly double-check everything. To make matters worse, you could tell many of the staff didn’t enjoy being there. There was no warmth, no real care—it felt like just a job to them, not a calling. We trusted The Claiborne to care for someone we love deeply, and they let us down time and again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The community is beautiful and every time I go Nikki is always so helpful and knowledgeable. The environment is always warm and welcoming!

I've been researching assisted living homes & I gotta say, Nikki at The Clairborne at Thibodaux is so knowledgeable and helpful! The Clairborne itself is really beautiful & I'm impressed with the planned activities for the residents!
