Our Mom has been at Terra Bella now for almost 8.5 months. I feel that she transitioned well, considering she moved from another facility, where she was in Assisted Living to TB into the GLOW (Memory) unit. She has not connected as much with other residents but she has also gone through some changes herself. The staff are always showing her love and compassion and I feel that for the most part that she receives very good care. Food is excellent, facility is very clean and newly renovated, and very pleasant to visit.

Response from the owner

Hi, Darlene. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

Apprehensive about moving my mom from assisted living in Greensboro to a facility closer to home, I checked and double checked every fact I could get on Terra Bella Asheboro. If you don’t already have a loved one here, please speak to some of the residents outside earshot of the director or other management personnel. Speak with the aides, med techs, and of course, residents. As with any facility, that’s the only way to get a true picture of what everyday life is like. The most important factor is the safety of your loved one. Only you can decide what else is important — is it the menu and type of food served? The number of planned activities and/or outings? Who is responsible for taking your loved one to appointments? What services cost extra? How often are assessments conducted, and how do (even slight) changes in needs or behavior affect monthly charges? That is for each family to decide but ASK QUESTIONS! Be sure you have the answers you need before making this decision. It is often traumatic for a loved one to move into assisted living — you certainly don’t want to move them again because of things you didn’t ask about beforehand. Last but certainly not least, manage your expectations. This will be ‘home’ for your loved one for an extended period of time. Ask questions about anything that will impact their happiness or standard of living and care.

Emory and Chloe are absolutely wonderful! The measures they go to make the residents happy and comfortable are phenomenal. Their personalities and the way they connect with the residents on a deeper level is so meaningful. They really care for their residents and love what they do and it shows! These two ladies always bring smiles and laughter making the place feel more like home.

Response from the owner

Hello Renetta, thank you for your feedback. We're happy to know that you've had a great experience with us!

I visit this facility multiple times a week. Each time I visit I find myself desiring to stay longer and have a reason to come back again to the Terrabella community. The staff are so very welcoming, they desire education from the services that my employer and I can provide and communicate effectively that always places the needs of the residents first. The Terrabella community is an excellent addition for the aging population in Asheboro!

Response from the owner

Our mother has been at Terra Bella Asheboro for almost two years. She went from living in her home to the hospital to Terra Bella. She had signs of Dementia. I was concerned about how she would handle this move but the staff was amazing in making her comfortable and helping her adjust to her new home. Mom is 97 and her memory is fading but she still knows who we are. The staff is extremely patient and helpful in every way. I highly recommend Terra Bella for any assisted living needs.

Response from the owner
