It seems more like a nursing home than a "senior community" to me. Kinda depressing. And the food is incredibly pathetic, especially considering the cost of this place! I visit a friend there often, and it is really sad to see what she is given to eat. I suspect prison food is not as pitiful. The elderly often don't have much of an appetite to begin with, so they need something much more tasty and nutritious. Nothing against the staff -- it's what the corporation gives them to work with.

From the lack of care from the staff to the multiple violations of health and safety, this place is an absolute nightmare, from the price point to the service provided. The staff cares more about putting body's in rooms than giving attentive care to there residents. Residents will go weeks without a shower after asking staff for help, they are served a form or jail food style trays, and upon request for other meals, they are denied. They have a memory care unit that was just flooded with the discovery of black mold, so the residents with diminsea aren't grtting they're proper care. The list goes on of the many violations and lack of attentive care that you would expect from a facility that charges this much money for a room mate. They are in constant violation with the state and constantly are getting visits, as of me typing this, the so called " Director" has a list of violations that they are required to fix to avoid losing liscencing.

Not the best, but most certainly not the worst. The staff seems friendly, there are activities (gardening, game room and exercise classes), pets are allowed, and they seem to stay on top of health issues. It's a very clean, friendly, pleasant environment. The big minus? It's 90 degrees outside, and there's no air conditioning in my grandmother's room. It's sweltering. Why air condition the main rooms, but not personal apartments? It's way too hot for anyone to be comfortable in their own space. I also found out money was stolen from her room. Whether it was a one time occurrence or not, it really ruins the trust factor. It makes you wonder if more has happened, but your elderly family member just hasn't noticed it... so that's a tad disappointing. That minor incidence aside, they've been wonderful in caring for her.
