We were desperately trying to find a place where she would not only receive excellent care but also feel safe, respected, and truly welcomed. From the moment we visited Sunrise Assisted Living of Thousand Oaks, we felt a sense of relief. The management team was incredibly compassionate, patient, and helpful. They took the time to answer every question, explain the process, and went above and beyond to make my aunt feel comfortable during such a difficult transition. They treated her like a person, not just another resident, and that meant so much to our family. The nursing staff is outstanding. They are kind, friendly, and genuinely interact with the residents with warmth and respect. It’s clear they truly care about the people who live there. Everyone has been professional, responsive, and easy to reach by email or text whenever we’ve had questions or concerns. One of the things we appreciate most is the communication. We always receive detailed updates about my aunt’s care and any changes in her needs, which gives our family tremendous peace of mind. Finding Sunrise Assisted Living of Thousand Oaks during such a difficult time was truly a blessing. Knowing my aunt is in caring and capable hands has lifted a huge weight off our shoulders. They moved in together while both were on hospice, and after my mom passed, my dad moved to another apartment in the same community. This is, without question, the nicest assisted living community I’ve ever experienced. Every single member of the staff treated my parents with genuine kindness, compassion, patience, respect, and a deep commitment to preserving their dignity. Their smiles weren’t part of the job, they were real. Their empathy was real. The relationships they built with my parents and our family were real. After my mom passed, the support my dad received was extraordinary. The staff didn’t just continue caring for him physically; they surrounded him with friendship, encouragement, and love during one of the hardest times of his life. They also cared deeply for our family, offering comfort, understanding, and support that we’ll never forget. Sunrise didn’t simply meet our expectations, they exceeded them in every possible way. Awesome people! Amazing care for my sister

Sunrise Westlake Village is fantastic. My mom moved in over 2 years ago and it has been a blessing for her and our family. It was not an easy decision to move away from her house, but once moved in she quickly felt at home. It improved her quality of life. All the staff, nursing team, care team, activities, dining, marketing, front desk and management are all warm and will go out of their way to help. I consider them all friends.

This is the best place…the employees and care takers take such good care of my family. I love this place.
