DO NOT send your loved one or go yourself to Autumn Lake. My husband was there for only a week in June of 2026 before he had to go back to the hospital. I gave him a shower shortly after he got there and he was never cleaned up after that. PT was minimal at best. A MEETING with PT, OT and the social worker was considered a PT session and he never even was asked to sit up in bed. OT came back after the meeting for a good session. My husband went to Autumn Lake after being in the hospital for very low blood count and weakness. He started having symptoms of being low again, and it took 2 days of me asking and finally getting mad before they checked his blood. Turns out he was dangerously low and I said he needed to get to the hospital right away for a transfusion. I was asked by Nurse Heidi if it could wait till Monday. It was 8am Saturday morning when she asked me that. I insisted and he went by ambulance to the hospital where he was admitted and given blood. He takes a medicine 3 times a day with the last dose to be taken no sooner than 3 hours before bedtime. Twice they came in at 10 pm to not only give him a bedtime dose but it would have a 4th dose for the day. Thank God he had his senses to be able to refuse the medicine. He was screamed at when he needed help in the bathroom. I will say that there were some amazing workers like Quinn, Erika, Q, and Kristin. OT was great. I was there 8 to 10 hours a day to help him with things that they should have been helping him with, but he could not wait the extreme wait times for the call bell to be answered. He still needs to go to rehab after he is released from the hospital, but I cleaned out his room and he will NOT be going back to Autumn Lake.
