Our family’s experience at StoryPoint over nearly 10 years was deeply disappointing. I want to be clear, there are genuinely caring employees there, and we are grateful for them. This review is about administration and corporate decisions, not the staff on the ground. Over that time, my mother’s rent increased by about 60%, and it would have been even higher if we hadn’t repeatedly challenged and fought the increases year after year. Meanwhile, the people providing daily care, the employees who truly made a difference in her life, were not seeing anything close to those kinds of increases in their own compensation, nor did the cost of living (over the same time. Increased about half of that). StoryPoint’s public image emphasizes care and community, and there are absolutely individuals who live that out. But our experience with administration felt very different, and over time it felt like PROFIT mattered more than residents and families. The moment that solidified my beliefs and was utterly uncaring and showed that money meant more than care, came after my mother passed away, just before her planned move. When we informed administration, the response we received was essentially: Well, she was moving out in two weeks anyway. After nearly a decade as a resident, that response was had StoryPoint showing their true colors of money over resident’s care. A resident is not just a payment. A family is not just an account. My mother deserved to be treated with dignity in life and in death. If you are considering StoryPoint, I strongly encourage you to look beyond the marketing and ask hard questions about rent increases and how families are treated when things change. There are good people there, but our experience with the corporation itself was ultimately about money, not care.

As a history lecturer, I've had the privilege of speaking at many senior communities, and StoryPoint Saline truly stands out as one of the very best. From the moment you walk through the door, you can feel the warmth, energy, and genuine sense of community. The fabulous staff, led by Veronica and Shatana, consistently go above and beyond to create an environment where both residents and guests feel welcomed and valued. Tonya at the front desk deserves special recognition—her warmth, kindness, and friendly smile set the tone for every visit. What makes StoryPoint Saline especially memorable, however, is its amazing residents. They are engaged, curious, and eager to participate, enriching every lecture by sharing their own remarkable life experiences and perspectives. Those conversations transform each presentation into a true exchange of ideas, making history come alive in a way that is both meaningful and inspiring. It is always a pleasure to return to StoryPoint Saline, and I look forward to every opportunity to share history with this wonderful community. I wholeheartedly recommend StoryPoint Saline to anyone looking for a vibrant, caring, and welcoming place to call home. -Jason Schmier

The staff is friendly and helpful but the administrative staff is the opposite. The constant increasing costs and their lack of empathy is to say the least very disappointing for people in charge of the elderly. Contacting them after our mother passed we received no condolences nor concern for a resident that lived there for 10 years.

If I could give StoryPoint Saline more stars, I would! From the moment I stepped in for a tour, I knew this was the place I could trust to take care of my parents. It's a lively, happy place, and a peaceful place. I am blown away by the support we've received to give them a smooth transition into care after leaving their home of decades in another state, to be closer to family. Sarah C spent time with me explaining everything and had so much sensitivity to my parents' situation. She immediately knew how to accommodate their needs. My dad loves to cook and my mom is in bad health. Most senior living facilities do not have the option of a full kitchen if one member of a couple needs assistance, but StoryPoint allows my dad to be completely independent (and cook!) while providing the support that my mom needs so that he can relax and they can live together. StoryPoint also helped my sister and I set up the whole apartment prior to my parents' arrival and my mom even thought she was back at home with all their art and furniture around. She also loves hearing the many birds singing from the window near their new lovely balcony. And my dad is enjoying the Wednesday happy hour and hopes to join the birding club. Tayler B. and Paul B. of CorsoCare have been absolutely incredible managing my mom's complex medical needs and preparing so they'd have everything set up and ready to support her upon arrival. They even ordered all her durable medical equipment. They were also able to explain and demonstrate how people are able to peacefully age in place at StoryPoint. Dr. Sam immediately made time to visit with both of my parents shortly after their arrival and was very thorough. All the CorsoCare staff have been wonderful, including Aliyah, Zack and Dylan (literally everyone though I don't remember all their names). Bill, who oversees all maintenance is an absolute gem! All the front desk staff have also been kind and helpful, including Tonya, Nadia. And Michele was so helpful in facilitating the move of furniture, etc. William, who helps clean the apartment is also a total sweetheart. It is incredible to be able to relax knowing my parents are in the best possible place for them with so many competent, warm-hearted people supporting them.

I came to install a printer for them here. When I say they were amazing they were so welcoming and kind hearted to me and I usually don’t get that type of reception when I come to these part of Michigan! The staff is great and I would trust them with my care when I’m of that age! Truly amazing people!
