Our mom moved in very recently and already loves it here! She calls her new apt home which makes us so happy. It's always hard to have to move a parent you love away from their own home but this place is the right choice. The staff are caring and very capable. The place is very well kelt inside and out. Mom loves the walk path around the home. It's easy to navigate even if you need a cane or walker. Plus it has a water view! He next favorite thing is there food and her friends she's already made here. Her table she sits with is full of sweet and interesting people. Can't tell you how thankful we are for this place. Oh and she got to keep her cat! Don't hesitate if you are in need of a place or for a family member you've found it!

Thank you so much for your kind words Carol! We are delighted to hear about your mom's positive experience at Sound Vista Village. It warms our hearts to know that she already considers her new apartment as home and we are honored she is part of our community. We understand the decision to move a loved one can be challenging and we're thrilled that you and your mom found the right choice with us. We are glad to hear that your mom's cat found a home at Sound Vista as well! Thank you so much for sharing your gratitude and experience with us.

Staff is nurturing and attentive. Very clean. Quiet, nice walking path. The food menu is amazing, lots of different choices. The Activities calendar is great!

My mother lived at Sound Vista Village for six years until her passing in January 2019. She called it "home" and referred to the caregivers as her "best friends." Our family knew beyond any doubt that she received loving and excellent care, and we completely trusted the manager and staff at the facility. Sound Vista definitely deserves far more than five stars, and it is where I will retire someday. When I hear of someone who is looking for a retirement home, I often suggest Sound Vista, as I believe that it is the best facility in Gig Harbor.

"Welcome Home", might be a good tag-line for the Gig Harbor Sound Vista Village because they make it feel like one big happy family lives there. The care, concern and friendship that the staff offers each and everyone (even each other) sets the vibe for the lifestyle at Sound Vista Village. We moved my mom from another retirement community to Sound Vista Village when her needs began to increase. The smaller number of residents (I believe there are 32 rooms), made it feel more manageable for my mom to navigate around and get to know people and we felt like she would get more attention just in passing from the staff (in addition to the one-on-one attention that we contracted for from the nursing staff to administer her medications and assist with showers). Honestly, the staff at SVV are answering a Calling to Care for others. They understand seniors and the elderly and the associated "sometimes grumpiness" that goes along with aging and are always compassionate. They are also very, very skilled at what they do. From the nurses who are watchdogs over medicine management (and are especially experienced at managing transitions from hospital stays back to SVV - where prescriptions can get goofed up) to the activities director who makes sure everyone is included, encouraged and safe; to the cook who knows who likes scrambled and who likes over-easy eggs in the morning; to the happiest woman on this planet who also happens to clean the units daily; to the on-site maintenance engineer who is there to keep things running smoothly to finally, the General Manager who leads this whole team beautifully, they are the BEST! Get mom or dad on the waitlist and join the family!
