Skyline at Mina Vista Assisted Living

This review is from a family member perspective. My Mom spent her last months (in hospice) at this lovely facility. Over the previous 12 years, Mom resided in 3 three different facilities in Tucson. From day 1 at Skyline, I felt confident in the care she was going to get. The staff was consistent, friendly, competent and caring. Sadly, at 94 Mom passed but in her last hours not only did the caregivers at Skyline care for Mom but also supported my husband and myself. I can recommend Monique and her staff and send my sincere thanks.

I am a hospice nurse who goes to many care homes. If I could write a book about how amazing skyline at mina vista is, I would. They are by far my favorite care home I go to. I always say if I had to place a loved one in a home, this would be it, hands down. Liz the owner is an RN and this makes a world of difference concerning the care her residents receive. She is an advocate for her residents and families and her devotion and care is exceptional. She does it because she cares, and that is exactly what you want in a care home. The staff is amazing. Monique the manager is the most competent facility manager I know. She is on top of things, organized, incredibly smart, deeply kind and a pleasure to communicate with. All the care givers are wonderful, but special shout out to Melissa. Her care and devotion to her residents is unmatched. She frequently points out things to me that I may have missed and treats each resident and family member like her own. Nothing slips through the cracks here, which is rare for a care home. The environment is warm and friendly and clean. The food is delicious and the care is exceptional. Skyline at mina vista is simply the best.

My father was at Mina Vista for a few months. The decline in his overall outlook and happiness during his time at this home was noticeable. It started out well, but the food quality changed and did not fit the dietary restrictions mutually agreed upon before he moved in. After complaining about the food my father said the staff started treating him differently. We moved him elsewhere and he was so much happier his last few months. Always interesting to read reviews when most of the 5 star ratings are by employees.

My Dad has been a resident at Skyline at Mina Vista for over two years and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care he receives. The staff is extremely attentive to his needs and more importantly they have created a family type environment here. I’d give 6 stars if I could.
