My mother lived at Silverado for 10 years, it is also where she passed. During the sad and tremendously hard time of her death, all of Silverado rallied around us - caring, and working hard to support us in ways that were heartfelt, encompassing and invaluable. As someone who stayed during this period by my mother's side for 3 month from early morning until night every day, I couldn't have managed without their help. I am beyond grateful for the attention we received, there are no words to describe how the nurses, caregivers, kitchen crew, laundry, maintenance, reception, house cleaning stepped up to support and hold us. They were our heroes, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Silverado is a unique facility, and I could not recommend highly enough the people mentioned above, they are phenomenal!

The moment we first walked into Silverado Berkeley, we could feel the genuine kindness, skilled professionalism and beautiful spirit of the entire Silverado care team. Each and every day from then on, all members of the team embraced our mother warmly and respectfully and greatly supported her and our entire family during an incredibly difficult time of our lives. We will forever be grateful for their loving care.

Every time I visit Silverado Berkeley I see first hand how the team supports their residents. Yesterday, at the Senior Round Table event, I got a taste of Chef's food...absolutely delicious. This is what dinner in senior living should be...excellent. Cheers to you!

Silverado Berkeley is well-known in the Bay Area senior living community as a trusted option for memory care. Their specialized approach to dementia care focuses not only on safety and health, but also on preserving dignity, connection, and quality of life. The environment is thoughtfully designed to feel comfortable and home-like, with secure spaces that allow residents to move around more freely. The community also offers engaging programs that go beyond simply keeping residents busy — including music therapy, social activities, and creative outlets that bring real joy and meaning. Families consistently share how attentive the staff is, both in caring for residents and keeping loved ones updated. Silverado Berkeley has built a reputation as one of the leading memory care communities in the East Bay. For families navigating the difficult decision of finding support for someone living with dementia, it’s absolutely a place worth considering.

I am so grateful to have moved my mom into the good hands at Silverado. I recently had an accident/injury and haven't been able to visit her for almost a month, and I have been so worried about not being able to check in on her. I am even more grateful Perla, who is one of the caretakers. Her amazing care and compassion for my mom, and her updates have really helped ease my worries about not getting to visit my mom. I don't know what I would have done/felt without her. Perla has made the effort to send me frequent pictures, updates and videos; and helped my mom Facetime with me. And the other day, she sent me a video of my mom painting her own nails. This is the most engaged I've seen my mom in a long time. My mom remembers Perla's name (although she calls her Pearl instead of Perla) - and I'm not sure she even remembers my name. Knowing my mom has the special love and attention there means more to me than you can imagine. But not just my mom. Even when she's sitting, she is constantly scanning the room and getting up to help someone that might be forgetting their walker or needing to be tended to for one thing or another. It's that kind of care that makes me so happy I made the decision to move her to Silverado. Thank you all for all that you do!
