I had the pleasure of touring this facility today. There was a wonderful jazz band playing and so many of the residents were sitting together enjoying the music! The staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell that they truly love and respect each resident. The atmosphere is light, happy, and clean. I couldn’t think of a better place for a loved one to be able to go.

Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing this, Olivia. We're so glad your visit felt so welcoming, and we're honored our community stood out to you.

I recently toured the community, and it was an amazing experience. Having worked in Memory Care facilities for 15 years, I was truly impressed. One of the residents was playing the piano—and quite well, I might add. Throughout the building, groups of residents were actively engaged in various activities that fit their level of cognitive involvement. The rooms and décor felt like walking into someone’s home rather than a care facility. Most of all, the culture stood out. It was evident that the environment was caring, comfortable, and centered on the residents’ well-being. It was a wonderful experience.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Cherryl! We're so glad you enjoyed your tour, piano performance included. We're grateful for your kind words.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Silverado at Barton Springs. The staff treats every resident like family, creating an environment where everyone feels respected, loved and cared for. We moved our Mom here 8+ months ago and within weeks we could see the improvements in her well-being. She is engaged in multiple activities daily, loves the musicians that come to the home, has been on some amazing field trips and appreciates the great meals. We had previously been through this difficult transition with our Dad, so we understand the different a great place and support system makes. If you’re looking for a memory care community where residents are treated with dignity, kindness, and like members of an extended family, I highly recommend this home. The dedication and compassion of the entire team makes it an exceptional place. ❤️

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for sharing, Andrea. Your kind words mean the world to our team, and we're grateful for your family's trust.

On behalf of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, we are grateful for Imani Simmons’ volunteer work in our memory care programs as a Community Ambassador for Silverado Barton Springs Memory Care Community. I am the Director of Memory Care Programs at WHPC. Our programs provide meaningful engagement, respite, and connection for adults experiencing early to moderate memory loss and their care partners. Through activities such as art, music, exercise, reminiscence, cognitive stimulation, and small-group discussions, these programs nurture dignity, joy, and a sense of belonging. Over the past year, Imani has been a valued volunteer for our programs. She has led “Chair Tai Chi” multiple times at each of our programs. She also presented a program about safety at our Lunch & Learn for care partners. We are grateful for her service and appreciate Silverado’s dedication to our Austin community.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Hilary. We're proud to support your programs and grateful for this partnership in the Austin community.
