Our neighbor is there right now and I dont know if she even wants to come home. She says the food is delicious everyone is so kind to her. She even sent a note to the kitchen thanking them. Anytime we go in or call every single person is amazing. What a high stress job and to be still so nice is truly a gift. Highly recommend!

My father has been in this place for one week. He previously had a stroke that has left him paralyzed and basically unable to move and with vocal damage, so he obviously can hardly use his call button. On his first night in this place, he spent the night screaming out for his nurse and was only checked on once his roommate called for them. Since reporting that incident, there has been signs put up basically stating he’s a paralytic and needs to be frequently checked on. Even with these notices, the nurses have left his bed highly elevated in the air twice, where he has almost rolled off, as well as left lying in his feces for hours. Readers beware: Thoroughly do your research prior to entrusting your loved ones with this place!

We feel the need to highlight the care our Mother is receiving from Encore at Wilmington. The general Staff have been warm and welcoming. Walking around the Facility and Grounds, you are sure to be greeted with a ‘Hello’ and a smile. The Dietary Staff provides quality meals for the Residents. Our Mother has enjoyed her meals, stating they do taste wonderful, although that is after her adding some salt and pepper. While parking is at a premium, the Grounds are well-maintained and lit nicely. We must highlight two of their Staff. Kamia and Olivia have provided outstanding care for our Mother. When speaking with either woman, their care and love for their job shines through. K and Olivia are authentic, taking time with not only the Resident, but their family’s, so the Resident, their family, and Encore Staff all share an understanding regarding Patient care, and bring together a positive outcome. K and Olivia should be applauded and celebrated for not only what they bring to Encore as employees, but to us all, as quality Caregivers.
