Writing this review is bittersweet, but I wanted to share our experience in hopes it eases the minds of families considering Senior Haven for a loved one. We placed our father in Senior Haven's care before he passed away, and we were so blessed to have Peter, Sam, and their entire team caring for him. From the very beginning, they made us feel like family — not just a short-term tenant. They listened closely to our concerns and desires for our father's care, and they lovingly went above and beyond to meet and exceed our expectations at every turn. Their attention to detail allowed us to actually enjoy the precious time we had left with our father, instead of being burdened by the responsibility of managing his care ourselves. If you're considering a board and care home for your loved one and you value a compassionate, genuinely loving environment, Senior Haven is the only option worth considering. The staff at Senior Haven was warm and inviting. They were accommodating to our large family. The facility is beautiful and clean. Our family was always welcomed to visit our dad, and we were never made to feel rushed. We were given all the time we needed to be with him, and that meant so much to us. The staff cared for our dad which gave the family comfort and peace of mind. Putting him in a care facility was not what we wanted, but Senior Haven was the right and perfect choice.

Senior Haven of Murrieta was the perfect place for my dad to live while he was needing a full time caregiver. The caregivers that work here are the best, very loving and caring. A staff that I was very comfortable trusting to take care of my dad. The best part about it for me was that I had 2 people help me advocate for my dad regarding his healthcare. Peter and Samira really helped me try and get the best care for my dad as he declined. Very beautiful home, very clean and well taken care of. Thank you for everything.

Owner sets high standards for his staff and makes sure they get an amazing education in caregiving! A rare feature for a board and care is that there is a skilled nurse that comes and checks on the patients almost daily. So I felt that my husband’s medical needs were being evaluated constantly. I was able to express my concerns and the nurse would act on the issues that I was concerned about. There was a Physician’s Assistant (PA) who had 2 family members w my husbands rare type of aggressive Parkinson’s disease. She worked with the doctor to develop a pain control regimen that was perfect for him. I never met anyone there that didn’t have a caring heart. Caregivers: My husband was completely dependent on his caregivers for his care. He was always exceptionally clean and comfortable. Caregivers took time to reposition him. Skin remained in tact; Great skin care, bathing, and mouth hygiene. Caregivers took time to listen to him and find out what he needed and what he was asking for, as he had a hard time speaking. Safety was always a major concern. They also genuinely cared for him and took the time to talk to him and get to know him. When I arrived on his birthday, they had decorated his room so beautifully. I was so surprised!! We had a wonderful celebration with family members and caregivers helped so much. It was an amazing BD celebration. He was so happy!! They also were very kind and helpful to me, as his wife. All the rooms in the house are very clean as well! Meals: My husband could only eat blended, soft foods. They cooked a variety of wonderful and healthy meals and blended them and my husband loved the food. They asked me for his preferences and made special foods just for him. As a 50 year veteran of the nursing profession. (30 years as an RN in the clinical field and 20 years as a college nursing professor.). I couldn’t believe the high standard that was maintained for their patients. My husband was home w me for 4 years and I know the best place to be for him was home; BUT this definitely was a close second!! Definitely a 10!!

Senior Haven was the best place for my dad. We toured other homes, some less expensive options but the moment we walked in, we felt a peace. We met with Peter and instantly knew this is where we wanted to place my dad. We knew he would be safe and well cared for. I know the caregivers, Sam, his RN and Peter himself went above and beyond to make sure my dad had what he needed and wanted. Communication with us was constant and when it came down to the end, Sam stayed all night helping our family and my dad walk through his final days of life. When we left, the caregivers gave us all hugs and told us how much they really loved caring for my dad…and it showed every day. What was the hardest decision to come to, ended up being a great decision for my dad and for our family.
